Such a lovely pub, really lovely atmosphere. The food is always very good and the wine is delicious! Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Beautiful garden overlooking Corfe Castle...just the most amazing views!

Visited with family to celebrate my Dads 56th birthday today. Have been before during week when food, views and service was good hence choosing this location for family event.

Went on a Sunday lunch time and was extremely disappointed. Sunday menu was very limited - no chicken at all on menu. Had to wait 65 minutes for food to arrive. When it did three of the 5 meals ordered were cold. Roast beef was almost inedible - hardly cooked, very chewy and full of gristle so landed up leaving most of it. Waitress asked on seeing that beef had been uneaten if "it was ok" - we replied "no it is uncooked, very difficult to chew, and full of string". Only response was "ok I will tell the chef" - no apology, no offer of discount on meal or free drink! Very poor customer service.

Had to wait another 30 minutes after finishing first course to be asked if we wanted desert menu! Decided to avoid another long wait so just ordered coffee - should have known better - coffee took a further 25 minutes to arrive.

Staff simply could not cope with volume of customers and overall quality of food was poor not to mention coming with a hefty price tag of over £100!!

Will not be visiting again

Service chronically slow, even though loads of staff standing around. Adult food OK,, children's portions minute...2 chicken goujons & 8 chips for £6, had to stop at supermarket & buy more food because kids were still hungry....disappointing!

Took the family to the scotts arms , i had the stuffed mushrooms for a starter , i was a little disappointed to find that i only had ONE flat mushroom with a little blue cheese and salad for a rediculous price of £6.50!.I then ordered the black and gold steak med/rare , which turned up well done , if your chef cannot cook a steak then it's time to find a new chef !.My children had the burgers which they said were very good, my wife had the lobster linguine which she said wasn't very nice. The views are great here but they need to try harder to make the dining experience more enjoyable .I did tell a memeber of staff about the food but all they said was oh , sorry about that ? .

A group of us ordered lunch early at 12 noon when they start serving food, the pub was not at all busy. It took ages for those who ordered coffee to be served. All the sandwiches and the ploughman's were excellent, large portions served promptly. However, one person ordered the soup of the day and after a wait of nearly 20 mins was told the chef had just started preparing it so it would be another 30 min wait!! Ridiculous!! Why was she not told of this when she ordered? She asked if she could have a sandwich instead and the response was " I suppose". Another of our group ordered chips as a side with his sandwich, after everyone had finished eating they had still not arrived and he asked to cancel the order only for the chips to arrive just as we were leaving!! What a pity the service cannot match the quality of the very expensive food.... £ 9.95 for a crab sandwich!!
