Dean Court Cafe (The Squash Court)

Visited here for a 2nd time on Dean Court's Estate open weekend.
It is housed in the old squash courts & is fabulously decorated in the shabby chic style. They have seating inside & also a courtyard with extra seating.
There is also a shop next door selling lots of expensive nik naks.
Called into here for a coffee & cake.
Food is all freshly cooked on their premises & the majority of ingredients being sourced from their own gardens. Some very unusual cake varieties and very delicious they were too.
It is not a place for a cheap snack but for a customer that wants something of quality & different.

We dropped in for coffee and cake. The was a good variety of unusual cakes and the decor was shabby chic. Staff were friendly and there is outdoor seating. Coffee was good but for the price charged the cake portions were small.

Had a lovely meal at one of there set meal evenings. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The Dry Ice Ice Cream was novel.

Met a friend for lunch today hoping for a catch up and nice lunch. Lunch was ok but overpriced. Catching up was hard to do with the noise from ghastly music playing so loudly it was difficult to hear one another. Is it really necessary to inflict unwanted music on paying customers? If it must be played all the time could something decent be played and the volume kept at a reasonable level?
