On finding the queue at the famous Anster Chippy round the block, and having sailed in to the harbour famished, we headed for the Wee Chippy with a much smaller waiting time.
The fish supper was more than adequate if not quite as perfect as their more famous neighbours.
The batter on the fish was slightly heavier, but equally tasty. This is definitely worth a visit, especially when faced with an hour long wait elsewhere!
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Tucked away in a corner, sitting beside Coast Coffee.
Give this a try.

This chippy is an alternative to the larger chip shop opposite the car park. The queues are shorter but don't be fooled about getting served swiftly. Although there were many staff behind the counter doing lots of stuff (not sure what tho!) it took an age for us to be served. When it comes to the food, the fish we had was fine, but not overly large, chips were perfect, but our white pudding was saggy and oily. It was good to see that we had the option of brown/red sauce or vinegar tho.

You can sit in, just up the close in a clean, freshly decorated cafe. We had the high tea for £11.95 - incredible value. What you can't eat, you can take away. The fish and chips were freshly cooked and very tasty. Friendly and helpful staff. We will return!

Have enjoyed a number of fish suppers over the years from here, never been disappointed, despite I understand change of ownership.

We went here on a Friday night there was a queue - always a sign of a great chippy but they took the order straight away and it took no time at all to get our food. It is also the only chippy in Anstruther which uses vegetable fat rather than beef dripping for chips so good for vegetarians! Good value for money too.
