We stayed at The Beach Hut as a family of 5 in April 2018 and what a great experience it was! The house is conveniently located in the centre of Anstruther with shops, restaurants and the all-important Co-Op nearby. The accommodation was cosy, comfortable, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for our short stay. There was plenty of room for us all and I liked that the bedrooms were on ground and top floors thus giving the grandparents a bit of privacy and respite from our exuberant 8 year old. Our son loved the bench outside with fishing rods, footballs etc. We would have no hesitation in recommending and hope to return on our next visit to our favourite place in the East Neuk
My family of 7 had a lovely time at The Beach Hut. The house was warm and inviting and fitted out with everything you would need on a break away. The situation is great too, just a little stroll down to the harbour and lovely little shops. We spotted a seal in the harbour, which was exciting for my grandson and the adults too! We spent an afternoon in St. Andrews enjoying the shops, cafes, beaches, castle etc
Really hope to return to the Beach Hut...love it.
Myself and extended family were luck enough to stay here over the New Year period .
From initial booking to accommodating a late check , Lyn could not have been more helpful.
Located 2 mins from all amenities, this was the perfect location for us. Decor was lovely . Kitchen roomy and well equipped.
Would highly recommend .
Thanks again Lyn for service. Very much appreciated and we hope to be lucky enough to stay again.
Our second stay in Anstruther and we were only a few yards from our last house! Very new house and tastefully furnished with a definite seaside holiday house style. We used it as a base to explore Anstruther and St. Andrews (and unintentionally all the small seaside villages looking for a petrol station - Colinsburgh has one, just to give you a heads up!) Kids loved the sandy beach by the fisheries museum and the stonier one further west for rock pooling. The holiday house had two nets in the bench outside. Parking right outside the door was really handy and the main road is far enough away to not be an issue. Loved hearing the gentle chime of the church bells and looking across the Forth from the bed room velux windows in the morning.
Playpark, kick pitch and tennis courts all just round the corner and harbour, sea front shops and supermarket all within walking distance make this a great base for a holiday.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Beach Hut. The house is situated in a small off road development with a parking space for each house. The harbour and several bars and restaurants are all within 5 minutes walk.
The accommodation is in good condition and has a nice beach hut feel. Two bedrooms and bathroom on ground floor, kitchen and living room in the middle floor and one bedroom and bathroom on the top floor worked well for our family. Would also be a good layout for two couples as it provides some privacy.
Good choice for visiting the East Neuk of Fife.
