“Great stay, we took over the whole hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2011

I stayed here with 11 work colleagues/friends for a golf break. We stayed in 12 of the 13 rooms and took over the hotel. The staff were great and couldn't be more accommodating. Particularly as we had multiple-nationals with differing needs. We had 5 Americans, 2 germans, a Canadian, s. korean and 3 Brits,. The chef even made a special Asian meal for all of us one evening. the room standards varied from a 'honeymoon suite' which was very nice with large tv and roll top bath. 3 apartments which were huge and very comfortable and more standard double rooms. All were clean and the showers particularly good, just what you need after a day on the course. It even had free WiFi which is more than we got at golf resort hotel in England, Overall a great spot, very good value and ideal striking distance to St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles.

My husband and I had the misfortune to break down on our way home to St Andrews and popped in to ask for help. The owners went out of their way to look after us as we waited for breakdown recovery to arrive (6 hours!). Considering we were non residents, we were treated with concern and attention. They were very helpful and not only provided shelter but supplied us with tea and coffee, taxi numbers and offered to ring round to find us accommodation as they were fully booked. They even mentioned lending us a car!! We had a meal in the bar area while we were waiting and it was delicious, just hit the spot on a cold wet February night. Hospitality like this is rare these days and restores your faith your fellow man!

We were fortunate enough to get a couple of rooms here during the blizzards of 27th Nov. We were met by very friendly and warm staff, the rooms were spotless and the evening meal outstanding. The staff worked their socks off in very demanding conditions, with stranded motorists turning up every 30 minutes, looking for accommodation. The owner and his good lady assisted by their very reliable and helpfull staff made the overnight stay most enjoyable. Will definately return if not for an overnighter then for an outstanding meal. 10/10

Clean, quiet but very comfortable. I was on a business trip to Perth, but this hotel is just 20 minutes from the centre of Perth (taxi 15 pounds), and it was well worth staying in this pleasant place. Lounge, bar and dining room have a pleasant atmosphere, service was good and attentive, and the bed extremely comfortable. The food was ok for me, but I do understand that some reviewers may hold different opinions on that (most people don't like my favourie dishes either) - however, I got the impression that both management and cuisine make every effort to keep the customer happy and to take note of their wishes.

We needed a base to see Scotland from and this Hotel is Ideal for that purpose. If after a hard days touring you want to dine and relax this could br the place for you. However of you feel the need of company and bonhomie then it might not. Nothing wrong with the food or the rooms and at £60/night the price is right. But it was just too quiet for us. No nipping down the road to a different hostlery -- there arn't any

We enjoyed our stay at the Bein Inn hotel. The hotel can be described a small beautique hotel located in a delightful valley not far from Glenfarg in Prethshire. The staff are very pleasant and really friendly. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. I recomend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area,
The hotel hass an excellent bar with dining tables , plus a superb restaurant. I particularly recomend the steak.
