“Stunning gatehouse in beautiful grounds.”
Reviewed May 8, 2018 for a stay in April 2018

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and tastefully modernised cosy cottage in stunning grounds packed with wildlife, Pine Martens, Red Squirrels and a myriad of bird life, felt relaxed the minute we arrived. Lovely walks from the door and plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. The owners, John & Helen, were very helpful and we will definitely be returning.

“"West Lodge - a home away from home"”
Reviewed July 28, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We have recently stayed at West Lodge for our family holidays and couldn't have imagined a better place to stay. The West Lodge was like a home away from home with everything you could ever require during holiday and beyond. Beautifully decorated & very comfortable with plenty of outdoor space for relaxing summer evening by the outside fire pitch. The location is perfect for trips around Loch Ness & surrounding areas as well as lovely walks around the lodge itself.
Located away from the hustle & bustle of city life it was a perfect retreat to unwind & relax for all of us. Thank you John, we absolutely loved your cottage and will be definitely recommending it to our friends & family

“Excellent cottage”
Reviewed June 22, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful part of the country.
All you could want in a secluded, get away from it all short break.
TV signal was a bit dodgy (certainly didn't go there to watch tv) but the WiFi was good.
Lovely fenced garden for my dog to play in.

Many thanks for staying with us at West Lodge and for your helpful feedback. We have a TV engineer coming out to the premises to check the signal. We rely on satellite signal and it maybe moved since last storm, or tree interference. Also, many thanks for adding to our cairn at the top of the hill! ⛰⛰⛰ it's slowly but surly getting bigger.
Kind regards
John & Helen

“Delightful cottage, wonderful location”
Reviewed June 14, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Cottage was delightful and decor was to a high standard. Superbly equipped with everything you needed from coffee machine to logs for the fire. Surrounding area was picturesque with lovely walks and cycle rides right on the doorstep. Ideally located for venturing out to Inverness, Loch Ness, Glen Affric, Glen Ord distillery and many more other beauty spots. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend. Thank you John and Helen

“Picture Perfect”
Reviewed June 9, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

A piece of perfection nestled in the hills, having been there last year for a weekend we wanted to go back and spend longer enjoying the rural location and relax. John and Helen have done an amazing job and the finishing touches are simply fantastic. From the minute we arrived we just relaxed straight away planning our days out. Every day was planned from Loch Ness to dolphin watching and a ride up the Cairngorm Railway, returning back to chill out in the garden watching the wildlife. The Pine Martin came out at various times along with a frequent woodpecker. A brief walk up the track and two deer are standing on the side of the bank. Can't wait to go back again. Thank you so much John and Helen for allowing us to use the lodge.
