“Superb lochside cottage”

The location is amazing - ideally situated for mountain walks with a fab little cafe/general store next door. The Torridon Inn is just the other side of the loch, as well as serving generously portioned meals it also offers a variety of outdoor activities.
The cottage is decorated to a lovely standard and has everything you could need, including plenty of drying space in the utility room if you happen to experience some authentic Scottish weather
We would definitely stay again if available.

“Conveniently located and modern holiday flat”

The cottage is located right in the center of Torridon, directly next to the Torridon Cafe & Shop. This made it extremely convenient both for popping to the cafe/shop, for local walks, and for driving to places in the region. (The downside is that a lot of traffic passes by the front of the cottage and is audible from the main bedroom and living space. And the cottage is so picturesque that some tourists take pictures of it, too!) You really do have stunning views of the loch right out your front windows, and plenty of deer, rabbits, etc. The cottage has indeed been done to a high standard, and is very modern and convenient inside. The kitchen has everything you need for all meals. In addition to breakfasts, we were able to cook simple suppers and really enjoyed the living area when we needed a break from walks and other outdoor activities. We particularly appreciated the laminated maps for local hill walks! Being able to do laundry was extremely convenient. That said, be aware that the laundry area is outside the main cottage, in an attached shed. This can be a bit tricky when it's raining, but it also means there is plenty of shed space for boots, luggage, wet gear. The master bed was quite comfortable. The only minor critique I'd offer is that the cottage wasn't quite as clean as we might have hoped when we arrived. Nothing major--just crumbs on chairs, dirty sponges/tea towel, cleaning materials left in the shower. As I said, not major, we remedied easily ourselves by replacing sponges, pulling out fresh tea towels, sweeping up crumbs, etc. All in all a really nice vacation cottage.
