This property has six rooms including one family room with a double and two twin beds. It sits next to a loch in the village of Dunvegan and has nice views -- three of the rooms have views of the water. The building is older and dated looking, with smallish but clean rooms. There is no elevator and all of the rooms are on the second floor. Breakfast was made to order. We booked a dinner one night in the dining room and all the food was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi was horrible. This was a good location for our group while visiting the Isle of Skye.

Room Tip: Rooms 1, 4, and 5 have views of the loch.

Sunday 26th June. Pouring with rain so we thought we would stop at the Dunvegan Hotel for lunch. No chance , we were refused entry because a coach was due. Asked if we could use their facilities to be told no "there are toilets somewhere along there". When questioned why they had a board up stating that the Hotel was open & non-residents were welcome we were met with a language barrier that hadn't been there previously. Not a good advert for Scottish Tourism or Skye in particular. Made welcome everywhere else we went on the Island. Spoilt a great few days on the Island.

We were just passing after a 6 mile walk and went to ask if they were serving food it was 12.30pm no sorry they were expecting a coach party ! We asked if we could just have a drink and sit in the garden it was a lovely day and the garden looked more inviting than the inside of the hotel , still NO SO WE LEFT Disappointed !

Terrible hotel, snooker table held together with cello tape, bars are smelly ugly and dark, place is falling apart in general. By far the worst hotel on the island surly!! Wifi only works if you sit on the stairs next to the reception! Tiny TVs, the list is endless! Staff were not very helpful either

Average is perhaps a bit generous. From the outside this place looks like a rundown campsite chalet. It improves as you get inside, but, even so, has a run down feel.
Fantastic views, though.
The food was surprisingly good both in the evening and at breakfast, although the dining area around the bar almost completely lacks atmosphere.
OK for a one-nighter and the staff are friendly enough.

We had lunch there and went back to have a coffee there in the evening. The food itself was fine and we went there because of the convenient parking next to the hotel. The front office person on duty on 3rd June evening was rather rude. Hell with them.
