We spent the nights of 20th and 27th May here and were very comfortable. We had an evening meal on the first night which was very good. Our ferry from Harris on 27th was an hour late; Alison waited up to let us in at midnight; it was wonderful to drop in to a comfy bed, The outside wood is shabby but the inside is pleasant. The staff did a good job; Alison Raismith could not have been kinder nor more helpful.

This was a cute little hotel. Friendly waitress. Food was quick and was quite nice, nothing amazing but good enough. Cute location , limited menu. They were also out of several puddings they had listed on the board!!

I am a local, and have despaired this year of most of our local eateries on the basis of either value or quality. The Dunvegan hotel looks a bit dated, and the restaurant /kitchen is only open for a couple of hours in the evening but this year it has given us the best value and most palatable meals for money. The service was fine, the fried baby Camembert starter was superb, and the bill for 3 of us with wine - 2 starters, 3 main courses and 1 desert -£63 - best value we have had this year.

From the moment I called to make the reservation, I was met with helpful and honest service. We had chosen the Dunvegan hotel as it is very close to the Three Chimneys, which we had booked for dinner in the evening.
We arrived in the afternoon to glorious sunshine, and we were greeted by Alison who runs the hotel with her sister. Although the place is a little dated in decor, the rooms were clean & had exactly what we needed for our stay. We enjoyed a pre dinner drink on the lawn overlooking the sea & awaited our taxi arrival (which Alison had organised for us when I first made the booking).
Breakfast was good, and again served to us with a smile by our lovely Czech waitress. A real example of Scottish hospitality - and I would recommend the Dunvegan Hotel to others travelling to Skye!

Went here for food and a drink while staying nearby. Place is run down. Guy at the bar was pleasant. Not the cleanest place I've been in. Food was decent. Unfortunately i can think of nothing positive to say about the place. Wasn't in hotel rooms so can't comment on them. I had guys working nearby for over a week, they popped into The Cellar bar for a drink one night and were abused by a drunk. Good location is all i could say

The hotel does not have a disabled toilet and as the ladies is upstairs I was told I would have to use the gents. No apology was offered and the lady didn't even offer to check if the coast was clear. When I expressed dismay at this I was informed that the staff have to use it as if this made it alright.

Stopped here for food a couple of times as being late in the season a lot of local places had shut other than the more expensive restaurants. Menu not very extensive and didn't change all week so ended up eating the same dish twice! Certainly couldn't fault the food, it was fresh and cooked to order and prices weren't too bad. Bar staff very friendly, just a shame they didn't change the menu. Would visit again if we were in the area.
