“Absolutely perfect!”
Reviewed 8 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Fantastic 3 days in the Studio. Everything you need, the whole apartment is immaculate , amazing views from the big picture window, underfloor heating makes it nice and cosy, very well equipped kitchen, comfy king size bed, plenty wardrobe and drawer space, great location, loads of helpful booklets and info, added bonus of watching the 30/40 seals bobbing about in the water, and finally, great welcome from Brian. Ten out of ten.
We can't wait to return.

This lovely studio suited use ideally for our 3 night stay on Skye. After road tripping all over Scotland we were ready for alittle R & R. To be able to sit in this studio and look out over Skye was so relaxing. After driving around the Isle looking at the sites we would come back previsioned with dinner in. The kitchen was equipped with Everything any cook could wish for. And our Hosts were delightful, helpful, and descrete if privacy is all we wanted. Thank you so much!

“Warm Scottish hospitality served up in equally warm and inviting modern studio flat on the very picturesque Isle of Skye”
Reviewed 14 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Joyce was a pleasure and everything met our expectations. Being on the Island gave you the sense of being remote and somewhat isolated, while the studio is a warm and inviting place to stay. The kitchen is well-stocked with plates, utensils and pots/pans, so we had fun cooking most nights in. And the shower is as great as the other reviews suggest. We also had fun watching two seals in the bay that graces the views out the front window. The flat is centrally located in the northern part of the island, making it a suitable base to explore all there is to do. It was our first visit to Scotland and certainly to Skye, and it left us wanting to come back.

“Idyllic countryside retreat with phenomenal views in a cost modern cottage.”

We stayed with a 1 year old baby, there was ample room for a travel cot. Open plan apartment was clean, modern and finished to a high standard. The kitchen was fully equipped with new appliances and the living area, while compact, had the most comfortable armchairs with an incredible view of Loch Snizort through the feature, picture window.

The landlady, Joyce, was extremely friendly and welcoming and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

“best place to stay on Ske!”
Reviewed 22 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Just back from another visit to Skye and our fourth stay at the Studio in Knott. As ever, Joyce and Brain were their usual friendly welcoming selves and the studio was spotless. The view from the studio is beautiful and there's the chance of spotting the local otters, herons, long tailed tits and sparrowhawks as well as the occasional sea eagle and porpoise visitors. The location is ideal for exploring northern Skye and we would recommend the studio to anyone visiting Skye.

“A Little Bit of Paradise”

This was the perfect place to stay. As if the Isle of Skye wasn't beautiful enough, to have accommodation as lovely as this in the most perfect location at the edge of a loch was the icing on the cake. To be able to lie in bed watching the most stunning sunsets which went on until after 3.30am was amazing. We saw at least 14 species of birds on the tree outside the window, we enjoyed the sun trap outside the door at the end of a day walking and were able to sit in the beautiful much loved garden enjoying a G&T. Joyce and Brian are the perfect hosts giving help and advice when needed. If we are lucky enough to go back to Skye we would have to stay here again, there is still so much still to see. It was so calming and healing, helped of course by the fabulous weather we enjoyed.

“A little bit of heaven here on earth”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We love to get away from city life and could not have picked a better place. The studio was of very high standard with the most comfortable bed we have slept in (we have spent many holidays in self catering so tried many beds!). The studio was compact but ideal for two people with the open plan design making it feel light and larger. The shower and bathroom would not be out of place in a 5 star hotel, a very welcome sight after a days walking.
The view from the window was like a picture post card and kept us occupied many a night looking for wildlife. We had sunshine every day and the little patio area in front of the studio was a sun trap which we fully used thanks to the reclining chairs provided.
If you like to get away from it all this is the place for you and at one of the best prices we have seen for the Isle of Skye. All you can hear is the sound of nature, you can't even hear any road noise.
Thanks for a great holiday.
