this is a great hotel, very clean room , fabulous shower. modern bar with friendly staff and a lovely restuarant which we only had breakfast in but the menu looked superb. would stay here again . not to many parking places at hotel but we managed to park 120metres away which is not to bad.

Room Tip: we had a back room , front rooms would face the harbour but i dont go on holiday to look out my window

What missed this hotel is friendly staff. From the get go when we struggle to find a parking spot in the village, to diner at night when the waitresses hardly ever talked to us, everybody was a bit condescending which is a bit of a let down when everybody is super friendly in Scotland.
I cannot say that the rooms weren’t great, they were. All the amenities (shower gel, shampoo etc) in profusion, real tea, coffee etc in the rooms, good bed and good shower. But the establishment lacks the empathy that you would hope to find in such a place.
The restaurant is good but extremely expensive, don’t get fooled by being pressured to get a table because « they are fully booked every night » : they were hardly anyone in the restaurant and we could have eaten somewhere else for half the price.
Breakfast was delicious but very sparse, it lacked the generosity of others.

Stayed at the Bosville for 2 nights. The reception staff were excellent and friendly and gave us a great welcome. Our friends had a front facing room which although a little smaller had a better view and more powerful shower. Our room was at the back of the hotel and although larger, didn't have the view and had a very weak shower. It was a shame that despite a booking of long standing, we couldn't have had similar accommodation. It was not a deal breaker however

Having said that, the rooms were well appointed and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was excellent as was our evening meal (we only ate on the first night) was again excellent with good staff. The adjoining bar was pleasant, but the hotel/bar could have done with somewhere comfortable to sit and relax, perhaps using some of the bar or restaurant area as a lounge. The bar seating was very hard! and not great after a days walking.

Overall it is a good place to stay, but if you want to put your feet up, it has limitations

Room Tip: Book a room at the front for the traditional Portree view

The hotel has some lovely touches and definitely feels luxurious. The room and toiletries were lovely but the bedroom did get very hot at night. The breakfast was delicious but availability of croissants and fresh fruit was hit and miss. The cooked breakfast options were great and between the two of us we tried every one and could recommend them all. Overall a really lovely stay in a great location for seeing all the sights of Skye. The hotel also has a great bar for a nightcap.

My wife & I stayed for the Easter weekend and could not fault it apart for one thing, Parking! The hotel has spaces at the front door but unfortunately these are not owned by the hotel, it’s just luck whether you get a space.
