Fantastic position on the harbour in the centre of Portree. Our room was large, with a fabulous view. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for hikes up the Cuillins. Who needs Portugal when you can go to Skye?!

My two sons and I stayed at Royal Hotel for three days last week. Check-in was Flawless, there was always a cheerful reception, all the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were a real treat. Highly recommended by all three Robsons!

Had another amazing stay at the RHP, with the incredibly friendly staff and delicious food. What a view to wake up to each morning and perfect location to explore the amazing island. With the delicious food to start and end my day, I couldn’t recommend it anymore.

Just stayed 3 nights in a very comfortable twin room with a great view of the bay. Spotlessly clean with a really hot powerful shower. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were really impressed with the food - price, selection , quality and presentation were all good. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Skye.

This is the first hotel that I have stayed in where the disabled room has been fantastic, room with its own lounge with TV on wall above fire Place, bed area at the back of room. Toilet with a nice height, shower noce and powerful with seat and grab rails at good height.
Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. Social distances all in place with face masks in good use.
Room tip: If disabled ask for room 36

The Royal Hotel is in a great location, with beautiful views (ask). We had a big room, which was immaculately clean; the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food.... those scallops, delicious!!!! This hotel is a great place to base yourself to explore Skye and was excellent value for money. The hotel carpark is also a handy addition.
Portree is a nice, little village with some very interesting shops, coffee shops and bars for those wanting to spend a day doing something different from hiking in the stunning scenery of Skye.
