We were staying at the hotel (reviewed separately) and our package included dinner. We chose the 5 course menu, but a 7 course menu was also available. We started with canapes and Talisker whisky in the comfortable lounge, with wonderful views across the Sound of Sleat, before moving to the elegant dining room.

Dinner unfolded in a succession of beautifully balanced flavours and textures, with an emphasis on seasonality and locality. The menu changes daily, but highlights of our meal included a wonderfully light pea soup with nuggets of pancetta in the bottom, sea bass, venison and a delicious lemon tart to finish. The wine flight complemented each dish perfectly, and service throughout was charming. Coffee and petit fours back in the lounge provided a relaxing end to a delightful evening.

A great welcome on arrival , seated in the traditional and homely drawing room, lovely smoking fire and comfortable seats.

Had pre-dinner drinks and canapés whilst perusing the menu and wine list. Choice of tasting menu or 5 course dinner menu with main course options.

Moved in to the main dinning room which was full and whilst formal in no way reserved , it felt comfortable with personable and professional service.

All dishes were delicious and some exceptional , the pork belly & monk fish was the highlight, the hake and smoked mussels was not far behind.

Extensive wine list, predominantly French , mark up is predictable for a restaurant of this quality but not too excessive.

Coming here was expected to be the highlight, food wise, of our trip to the highlands and it exceeded our expectations.

I took my wife and my daughter for lunch to Kinloch Lodge for my wifes' birthday. From the moment we arrived we had a fabulous time. The staff were all extremely efficient and friendly.

The only thing I can say about the food is IT WAS FABULOUS!

The dining room was well presented and the servers were excellent. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the food.

There was nothing negative to say about anything. Great place with great service and food.

Really excellent food, some of the best I have tasted in the UK - the menu was utterly mouthwatering and the highlight of our trip. The service was great and well informed about what they were serving. The breakfast the next day was something rather special - not too much, just the perfect amount, but just very tasty!
