The bad thing about reviewing hotels with restaurants on Tripadvisor is that you are never sure which you are reviewing! This is my review for the restaurant. Lovely romantic fine dining, we enjoyed views of the lake as we ate our amuse vouches and were pampered. We had lamb for starter (felt odd to have this on the starter menu) then I had Roast pork and the wife, Dover sole. The chefs are trying too hard, is my view and hence only 4 not 5 stars. The pork was quite tough and tastelessness, swamped by the flavours of the sauce and other bits. Mrs R’s Dover sole was delicious but came with a sauce that was meant to have a hint of curry but was swamped by it. Curry and Dover sole are not a great combo. That said, we enjoyed our evening and the service was very good.

Stayed here for a couple of nights mid August and it will be the last time.
To get to the hotel can only be described as hazardous along what I'm not sure certainly not a road.
They were charging £65 for dinner and the menu was on one side of A4 so, not extensive and if you wanted tea/coffee and petit fours it was,as far as I could see, an additional £9.
The room was ok but no more.
They could learn a bit about service from their little brother/sister Mhor 84.

Fabulous lunch and excellent value using an itison voucher. We were greeted by friendly staff and enjoyed an aperitif while waiting on our friends to arrive . The menu was inventive and interesting. We weren't rushed and enjoyed a relaxing leisurely meal in beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed it so much we booked to come back for an overnight stay and dinner! ( because I'm worth it!)

Recently purchased an ITISON lunch deal for this hotel/restaurant. We arrived at the stunning location and really didn't know what to expect. What followed was one of the nicest lunches we've had in years. Quality of food, setting and staff were all first class.
We'll be back and hopefully very soon.

The wife booked all this without me knowing anything about as a birthday treat, just got told to sit in the car and drove up. To get to the actual hotel its a long road but when you get their its beautiful, the views are amazing!! Service is great food is amazing too! We ended up staying in the bar drinking with the bar manager till the early hours he was a laugh really nice guy!
Our room was amazing it looked out into this nice wee court yard and it had a steam room in it too!! Definitely go back here quite a special little place!!
