Off the Beaten track, but lots of history and sights to see in a quiet corner of scotland, third time in this area, will be back again to check out Galloway forest.
We spent a week at this property at the end of July. The weather wasn't the best but we only had some showers. All in all we had a great holiday and the property is clean, well equiped and very spacious. It's perfectly located and there's even a folder prepared for you with all the accessible attactions, if you didn't do your homework (guilty).
The view on each side is fantastic and it's quiet and peacefull at all times.
Enjoyed a great stay in this well equipped and attractive cottage. It's easily accessible from Central Scotland and the North of England. A car is essential. It's a mile from Scotland's Book Town with a huge range of book shops , selection of cafe's and small shops. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and ideal for cycling on quiet roads , hill walking , golf and fishing. There are a variety of interesting villages within a short drive. Happy to recommend to couples and families of all ages for annual holidays and short breaks.
