Too dirty & dusty. It's not even that old. Just lazy maids. Unacceptable. It's a good location though. Just a few short blocks from Beale. Parking garage was confusing and expensive for Memphis. $20/day
We stayed for three nights in a one bedroom/one bath apartment. Getting in after hours is a bit of a chore. So close to everything, within walking distance. The staff was very nice and helpful. The apartment was clean, bed was comfortable. Issue with cable connection in living room and there was no cable attached to tv in bedroom. Light bulbs were out in kitchen and bathroom. Not well stocked in kitchen at all.
Great location within walking distance to anything downtown Memphis . We really enjoyed our stay there and look forward to coming back!
The apartments are located in a building that has other serviced apartments. Getting in was a bit of an issue on a Saturday but after a little help things worked out fine. There aren't any amenities in the apartment building. The whole process from check-in to check-out is without meeting anyone from the Stay Alfred side. An email has all the instructions to enter apartment etc.
Stay Alfred at Madison is a convenient location if one is in Memphis for tourism. It is a 10 min walk to Beale and Peabody. The apartment that I was assigned had 2 rooms - both with ensuite bathrooms. My apartment had a washing machine as well. My living room had windows but no view to speak off; just faced another wall that was 20 meters away - basically good for sunlight not for views.
The apartment is great if bigger families are visiting for a long time (the cleaning/admin fee gets pro-rated across more days).
We stayed for a week during spring break. Two adults, two teens. Apt was very spacious and clean. Kitchen had everything stocked. There was also an all in one washer dryer that took forever to wash/dry a load. Clothes detergent was provided, nothing else - lucky for us there was a Walgreens a block away. If fact, everything we wanted / needed was in walking distance. The closets were spacious. There were two tv's in the unit - a nice sized one in the living area and a tiny one in the master bedroom. Every employee that we encountered was nice and helpful. I will stay here again then next time I am in Memphis.
Unit could use a good cleaning. No water pressure in any sinks, kitchen, bathrooms, none of them. Not enough to rinse a toothbrush, took 4 minutes to fill coffee pot in kitchen. Building security team was excellent, helpful and friendly, great guy's.
We were initially a little lost with the use of the awesome security and understanding how to utilize the access key. While it would have been nice to receive instructions on what to do, the Security Staff was more than helpful. The place was clean, well stocked and well organized.
