Stayed for our 23rd anniversary and the place didn't disappoint. The room welcomed us with goodies from the lodge congratulating us on our special day. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Seriously! If you need it, anything, just ask!

We loved our stay at Big Cypress Lodge and would definitely return. The room decor, cleanliness, and comfort were absolutely wonderful. However, we will not eat at the restaurant, Uncle Buck's, ever again. Only half of the tables had seated customers, yet we waited 20 minutes before we were offered a beverage and were never offered a refill despite waiting another 40 minutes for our food to be prepared. When the food came, it was overcooked and cold. Wonderful hotel, great view from the top of the pyramid, fun Bass Pro, but eat your meals somewhere else in Memphis.

The room was with large balcony overlooking Bass Pro Shop that resembled a lake. A great atmosphere. The details within the room were great, fireplace, great bed. Located right on the river close to town with hotel shuttle service. It was all first class in every way, making a great experience. Every staff member treated us as special guests. On our three week road trip this was the highlight.

The hotel, store, restaurants is one of the best places we have ever been. Being right next to the Mississippi River gives some outstanding views and the restaurants are very good but the hotel is what impressed us. The service, from the bellhops, housecleaning, front desk was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and had a good time. The rooms were awesome -unique, spacious and comfortable. We will be planning more trips to Memphis in the future and will only stay at The Big Cypress Lodge!

Room Tip: Choose a room near the waterfalls for relaxing sounds - awesome place!

If you like hunting, fishing, and the outdoors generally, this is a really interesting hotel option for you in Memphis. Spring for one of the interior rooms overlooking the Bass Pro Shop. The exterior rooms look out to pyramid glass. Really great hunting lodge type decor to the rooms. Overall, it is not exactly a hotel in the traditional sense of having a dedicated lobby and restaurants, more of a rooms tower over the store which has a number of restaurant options. Room service was good. Staff was really friendly and certainly nothing went wrong but it seemed more like retail folks running a hotel. Great view from the top of the pyramid, which is free to hotel guests. Weighing all the good and bad (well not bad exactly just unusual), I would highly recommend the Big Cypress Lodge.

Room Tip: Interior rooms are better than exterior here. The more interesting view is the Bass Pro Shop.
