“The best!”
Reviewed September 25, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This was one of the nicest holiday lets we have experienced. The cottage was so nicely fitted out every room was beautiful and well decorated, loved the beams and history of this lovely home. Marianne and Jim made us very welcome with a lovely bottle of red wine and Welsh cakes too.. Also so nice to watch the bird's feeding in the garden. Definitely worth a visit ☺

“fabulous holiday”
Reviewed September 19, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a wonderful time at lletty cottage. We were greeted warmly by Marianne and Jim and found that the cottage was superbly fitted out. I loved the beams, the thick walls and beautiful private garden with the lovely birds feeding from the feeders filled by Marianne each morning. We were made extremely welcome with many lovely little surprises such as welsh cakes, chocolates and wine on arrival. I would definitely recommend Lletty cottage as a holiday cottage

“Lletty is a joy”
Reviewed August 25, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

A very warm welcome from Marianne and Jim was the start of a great week at Lletty cottage. Recommend a visit to the fabulous gardens at Aberglasney, the national botanical gardens and Dinefyr, all nearby. Plenty of materials provided for local walks, sites and restaurants. Cottage was wonderful and had everything you need from the cafetiere to the Welsh cakes on arrival. Watching the birds in the garden were a highlight as was the walk up the field to sit on the bench to enjoy the view.

Thank you very much indeed for writing such a lovely review. We really enjoyed meeting you both and we are delighted that you found everything to your liking. As you know I love Aberglasney Gardens and was pleased that you loved them too on your visit and bought your plant! We are very fortunate to have so many wonderful places for visitors to visit nearby. We would love to welcome you back here sometime in the future when you could take another walk up the field with blanket and drink to enjoy the view. Thank you again for the kind review.

“Everything catered for, even the things you didn't know you needed!”
Reviewed August 10, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cottage and the proprieters were second to none. A welcome of welsh cakes and milk in the fridge was unexpected and touching. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and more without any notices telling us what and what not to do. Information on local and not so local trips and sites was provided in abundance and hands on information too. We felt supported but not overwhelmed.
The location is between 2 fairly big villages and in easy reach of the A40. We particularly enjoyed vsiiting the 2 NT properties within 15 minutes and 1 red kite feeding station. We visited the other 2 red kite centres, both within 1 and a half hours.
Sitting in our own piece of garden surrounded by beautiful plants and drinking tea in the afternoon sun was glorious. There was nothing not to like!

Thank you very much indeed for writing such a lovely review. It was great getting to know you both and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your holiday. You certainly made the most of your visit by visiting all sorts of different places. As you enjoyed seeing the badgers at Dinefwr we'll remember to share that knowledge with all our guests from now on. Thank you again for coming to stay and for your kind review- we hope we'll see you again sometime in the future.

“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed May 20, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The warmest of welcomes; a very thoughtfully and well-equipped comfortable cottage with beautiful garden; wonderful walks and lots of places of interest to explore; and several shops in Llandovery that were great sources of food for picnic lunches made our trip very special, and one to remember. We plan to return to Llety Cottage (hopefully before too long).

Thank you very much indeed for writing such a lovely review. We appreciate your kind words. We enjoyed meeting you both and hearing about your visits to places whilst staying here. Llandovery does have some really interesting shops including some great deli's, bakeries and that health food shop which sells that delicious artisan bread! We look forward to welcoming you back here sometime in the future when hopefully you'll enjoy another ride somewhere on the Heart of Wales line.

“A comfortable cottage in beautiful and peaceful surroundings with very friendly, helpful owners.”

Lletty cottage is peacefully situated in beautiful countryside with stunning views from the top field and yet seconds from a good road. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need or might have forgotten and also had a brilliant selection of local information - maps, leaflets, wildlife and other books, plus a selection of DVDs etc. The mezzanine type bedroom was a first for us but we loved it - quirky but light and spacious and with a very comfortable bed.
The garden area was beautifully kept but not too formal and a real pleasure was to sit out over breakfast or in the evenings with a glass of wine amongst the flowers and watch the antics of the many and varied species of birds that came to feed there - the siskins and redpolls were also a first for us!
Jim and Marianne were lovely hosts, welcoming and friendly, and we really appreciated their warm welcome and the little extras laid out for us on our arrival. They were always on hand if we needed help or information but never intrusive. The landlord and locals at the nearby pub The Sextons Arms also extended us a warm welcome and we were certainly not disappointed with the food either and ate there a couple of times.
There are opportunities for many activities but if you are interested in wildlife we would especially recommend the badger watching at nearby Dinefwr Castle(Wednesdays and Saturdays - book in advance), a trip to Newquay where we saw dolphins at play and birdwatching around the cottage. Dan yr Ogof caves, Dolaucothi goldmines and the National Botanical Gardens are also well worth a visit and beautiful walks and waterfalls abound.
Thank you so much Marianne and Jim for sharing your haven with us for a short while, hopefully we will be back to see you again in the future, perhaps to experience the changing seasons and try out the log burner.

A holiday must. The property was clean, well stocked, and overlooks a beautiful garden with a vista to distant mountains. We enjoyed a lovely welcome, found lots of extras making it a great home from home and we especially liked watching the birds and squirrels on the bird table each day.
