A cosy cafe with nice views of the nearby castle. Had some Welsh rarebit which was very tasty. Good place to warm up, have a cup or tea and some proper Welsh food. Free wifi and veggie options.

Stopped for a cup of tea and when the friendly owner told us the teacakes were freshly baked each day, couldn't resist. Good decision! Really fresh, substantial, just the right amount of fruit and dripping with proper butter. A big pot of tea made with leaves not bags, plus extra hot water. Throw in a view of the castle and the coast, and what more do you want from a tea shop? (Also, the rain finally stopped while we were there...) Not cheap, but a fair price for good quality fare.

thank you for your comments. We are one of the few remaining establishments that still make Teacakes in Britain, apart from bakeries. We always serve them ready buttered (unless asked not to) as it's part of our service. Weather is not so easy to get right though on this occasion we obviously did.

On holiday with my wife and went to Harlech to visit the Castle. Stopped here for a drink and something to eat. Empty when we went in, staff very friendly and chatty, made to feel very welcome. we both had soup of the day and a brie and bacon sandwich.Very tasty and a good size snack. Perhaps not the cheapest in the village but still very enjoyable. A good view of the Castle from the window which is only a short walk away. Well worth a visit

Well-maintained cosy place with a stunning view. The staff were efficient and friendly - luckily the offhand person I encountered on my 2014 was not in evidence.

Plenty of tea provided, but unfortunately the scones were disappointingly dry.
