“PERFECT”
Reviewed July 16, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We made our booking for three days but were so happy there we booked another day. Lovely room en suite, comfortable, stylish, everything provided that one could need. Breakfasts delicious, good choice each day. Best of all our delightful hostess Shelley who makes it all possible with her husband. Very quiet area with views across gardens, well away from main road but easy journey into Criccieth
which itself is an attractive town with a good long clean beach and in a really beautiful scenic area. Would defiinitely return.

“Wonderful, relaxing retreat.”
Reviewed June 16, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We spent half-term week..well most of it in a lovely little B & B in Rhoslan, Criccieth. The owner Shelly is a really lovely person, very friendly nothing too much trouble. So this is what we thought of her Bed & Breakfast!
Hostess: 10 out of 10 A really lovely person, very welcoming, loved our morning chats!
Cleanliness: 10 out of 10 Spotless
Breakfasts: 10 out of 10 Delicious: Cooked fresh in front of us, loved the home made bread!
Facilities: 10 out of 10 Beautiful room, lovely views over the surrounding areas and loved the field of baby calves next door!
Sleep: 11 out of 10 YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT NIGHTS SLEEP! Bed so comfy!
Would we stay here again? 10 out of 10 OH YES!!! We have already told our family and friends about this little gem in North Wales.
Keep up the good work Shelly, you have a lovely B & B!

“Perfect retreat for a quiet comfortable stay.”
Reviewed May 12, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We were made welcome the moment we arrived. Shelley had tea and cakes ready for us as we walked through the door. The facilities were first class and the breakfast excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for Shelley. The location was ideally situated for visits to Portmeirion, Porthmadog and Caernarfon. Also recommend the Snowdon Mountain Railway which is a short drive away.

“Perfect B&B - amazing breakfast!!”
Reviewed December 18, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

We were attending a function in nearby Criccieth and wanted a B&B closeby. Fron Oleu is only 10 mins drive away, so decided to stay here. The room is really spacious and well appointed, an extremely comfortable bed (I have back problems and suffer with uncomfortable beds) and glorious views from the room. To cap things off nicely, the Welsh breakfast is delicious - and plentiful... just what is needed to set you up for he day. The home made bread is a bonus. Shelley is a perfect host and vert accomodating. Thoroughly recommended!!

“It made me weep”

Yes, staying at Fron Olau made me weep. When I got home and looked at my own, previously acceptable, kitchen and remembered Shelley's - so large, so warm and so stylish and the source of such wonderful breakfasts - then I wept. Ah well; all good things come to an end.

From the offer of a cup of tea and Welsh cakes on arrival, and flasks of coffee for the days out, to the outstandingly comfortable bed and the fantastic decor, this B&B has it all. For those wanting to explore this part of Wales - and who wouldn't - it is very well placed for both the Llyn seaside and the mountains. Rural but not remote and good views when the fog lifts. Just gorgeous and highly recommended.

“Just Lovely”
Reviewed September 2, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Shelley was superb. SO welcoming. I travelled with my 8 year old daughter (we shared the wonderful double bed) and stayed for 3 nights. We had 3 scrummy breakfasts too. Who doesn't love homemade bread. I would have stayed for extra nights in a heartbeat. The bedroom was well equipped and the shower was a delight (push one button to start and, guess what, push it again to stop. I love it when a shower is easy peasy.) We were even provided with little torches, for midnight manoeuvres to the loo, as there is no light pollution so, consequently, very dark. Big flat screen tele, which we only used once, and Wi-Fi available so you don't feel too remote. Only a short drive to everywhere you would want to go on the Llyn Peninsula. Altogether 'Bob On' A very happy Mum and Daughter.

“Most welcoming.”
Reviewed January 9, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Suddenly having to stay in the area for four nights, I was fortunate enough to be accommodated at the Fron Oleu.
From the first phone contact, Shelley (owner) could not have been more welcoming or helpful.
My stay was very comfortable in the very spacious bedroom, which is generously furnished for spending time in.
The choice of breakfasts offered are amazing for a B&B. All expertly prepared by Shelley.
Although my stay was both short notice, and in a damp December, the beauty of the area and Shelleys hospitality have made me want to return, which I hope will be in the near future.
