Beautiful bed and breakfast

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 weeks agovia mobile
A beautiful house in a stunning location. We were made to feel so welcome and it made our trip even more special. The house is spacious, immaculate and has incredible views. Andy and Huelwen were so lovely. The breakfasts were superb and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if in this area.

I can not praise the hosts and guest house enough! The Hosts are really attentive and knowledgeable about the area and just really lovely.
Our room was a double ensuite, it was spacious, spotless, bright and the bed was really comfortable, we also had patio doors out to the garden.
The views from the bedroom and breakfast room are amazing! It just took my breath away every time! We had breakfast included with our stay, there was a choice of fruits and cereal and a full cooked breakfast, which hit the spot every time!
We had an amazing stay here and would recommend 100%

Room tip: Download your route as the 4g is a bit hit and miss in the hills!

We stayed at the Heulwen guest house in May 24. We cannot recommend this guest house enough!
Both Heulwen and Andy were amazing hosts, very accommodating and friendly. Our room and ensuite (room 3) was clean and well presented.
Breakfast was perfect, we had a cooked vegetarian breakfast, both mornings and it kept us going until lunchtime. They were very accommodating for our 6 year old son. The lounge and dining areas again very well presented and clean.
The best bit though were the gardens and views from the house are absolutely amazing! we were stunned by the natural beauty and tranquillity.
Heulwen and Andy were also great in helping us plan our walks/hikes and evening meals when places were booked (due to bank holiday weekend). They know of great alternatives. The obviously have great knowledge of the local area and guided us on where to go.
In terms of parking, there should be enough space within the property grounds, and they fairly flexible where you can park a car.
We loved our stay and will definitely be back to climb Cader Idris, hopefully the weather is on our side next time!
Thank you Heulwen and Andy for an amazing stay and introduction to Wales.

I recently stayed here with my dad and it was just perfect, each room was huge, peaceful and immaculately clean. The views were just incredible as well.
The couple who own the place really looked after us, bringing us coffee and biscuits on arrival after a long drive and the breakfast included was just as incredible and suited to our needs. I am also intolerant to gluten and diary and they stocked up on food just for me! Their homemade rhubarb and ginger jam is also one to ask for! I would 100% visit again and it’s perfect for families and anyone looking for a lovely break away in the mountains of wales

Great place. Beautiful views and good size rooms. Breakfast was delicious and host were very lovely and accommodating! Not far from Cader Idris if you’re a climber and not far from the town which has lots of choices in pubs and places to eat.
