“A welcome and much needed weekend of peace and quiet”

What a great cottage! Well equipped especially the kitchen, though it was small it was perfectly formed and had far more than the average self catering place (full fridge and freezer, washing machine, top notch oven, etc.)

One of the few places I have stayed where the shower actually works and is easy to use! The enclosed garden was great even though it was November. The furnishings were sturdy, high quality and sometimes quaint/ quirky. The bed I used (master) was very comfortable and I left the curtains open to awake to a fantastic quiet view. Great for walks from the door and the lake walk is lovely.

Warm at all times, didn't need the log burner even in November. Very dog friendly- having tile floors was a great help!- and plenty of space for clothes and food in built ins, cupboards, wardrobes and chests. Would comfortable house six.

Easy to find if you use the owners' excellent directions. Didn't need to leave to go anywhere much as it was so restful though they have a large farm shop close by for bread, milk, vegetables, condiments, nibbles, deli and meats; that's also a café. Perfect place for writing, which is why I chose it, barely heard a sound all weekend apart from birds and a bit of shooting on the Saturday (planned by owners on the estate.)

The owners are very obliging, and quick to return queries.

Parking space is tight for a good sized saloon but that's the only issue I found. Bear in mind there is no wifi, as the cottage is too far away fro the office building to pick it up, but to be honest I didn't miss it.

We have been to Garden Cottage many times in the last few years and it is like coming home to a beautiful cottage in the woods. You look out onto a beautiful garden full of birds and we always feel welcome in this friendly place.

Garden Cottage is a real treat. Beautiful cottage in a wooded setting with only pheasants for neighbours. Helen, the owner, was welcoming and friendly, without being intrusive and we will definitely return. Worth every minute of the drive from Essex!

“Characterful cottage provides memorable family stay.”

Four generations of our family - including a 92 year old - had a wonderful family get-together in this lovely setting on the Llyn Peninsula. The cottage itself had everything we required, including effective heating, a welcoming wood-burning fire, comfortable furnishings and plenty of appliances. The gardens are lovely and the whole of Glasfryn estate is almost picture-perfect. Other family members stayed in Rose Cottage and the Coach House nearby and everyone had a great time. A pity about the weather, which was quite wet, but our host, Helen, even kindly lent us two pairs of wellingtons so we could skip through the puddles!

“Lovely cosy cottage - wonderful secluded location, very comfortable.”
Reviewed March 23, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This is a lovely cosy cottage, set within beautiful woodland, yet only a few minutes from lovely sandy beaches. Has everything supplied for a comfortable stay, inlcuding logs for the woodburner, which was very welcome. We stayed for the week and were joined by friends and family for part of the time - there is ample room for 6 people. Can't wait to stay again and see the fabulous garden in all it's glory in the summer! Will definately be back. Thank you for letting us stay, we really enjoyed it.

“Lovely secluded cottage in a beautiful part of Wales”
Reviewed January 16, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

We stayed at garden cottage for New Years week and had the most relaxing break we have had for a while. We were staying with our two young children who enjoyed sharing the cute twin bedroom upstairs which overlooked the woods. My sister and her young family came to join us for two nights and we weren't too squashed in as they had the downstairs bedroom made up as a king-size and there was a separate bathroom adjacent to them also.
The gardens are absolutely fabulous, really big and spacious. My kids enjoyed playing with their balls and playing hide and seek many times.
The cottage itself is so cosy and comfortable. We were provided with an abundance of logs for the fire which was lovely as it was so cold. We were also provided with a decorated spruce Christmas tree which was very festive and a nice touch.
The kitchen was well appointed and the modern bathroom was great with a hot shower. Ideal after a days exploring the many beautiful beaches in the area.
Glasfryn parc was brilliant for the children. We went on a VERY rainy day and had a game of bowling which was fun. We also had a go of the go-karts which were fantastic and extremely fast !!
All in all a fabulous holiday, we would definitely return one day.
