“Perfect Base for Holiday”
Reviewed February 5, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

4th visit to this cottage and perfect once more. This excellent, clean, warm and cosy cottage is perfectly situated for short walks within an extremely picturesque location. Everything that you could ever need is found at the cottage and it is beautiful to return to following a days walk through the hills or beach. We even discovered that the local (Talybont) railway station, within walking distance, provided easy access via the scenic coastal railway system to other equally beautiful towns and villages with blue ribbon beaches situated along the bay. Many thanks to Linda and hoping to be back early next year.

So pleased you enjoyed your break yet again and this time the weather was just a little kinder as you had moved into a February week, I have to say that every month has its highlights, personally I can't wait for spring as the wild garlic is putting in an appearance already and that is amazing when it flowers, maybe try early March next year? “A welcome return to Llwyn Ynn”
Reviewed January 21, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

This was our second visit to Llwyn Ynn. We had previously visited there in August, this time we had a winter break.
Linda is a very welcoming host and the cottage is beautiful. It was a pleasure returning and it felt good to be back. Even though it was December in Wales, we managed to get into the hot tub twice. A couple of days were very wet and we didn't venture out, but this wasn't a problem, as we enjoyed just spending those day inside the cottage.
We are thinking about our third visit.

Every season has something unique to offer in this part of Wales and as I tell everyone it wouldn't be so green without the rain! glad to hear you were comfortable and cosy in the cottage, hope to see you both again soon Linda :-)

The photos didn't do justice to this beautiful property. The garden is one of the most beautiful private gardens we've ever seen and early mornings were spent watching the wildlife.

The house itself has everything you'd want for a stay, from the fully-equipped kitchen to the private parking.

Take a bottle of fizz (or several) and enjoy the hot tub.

Linda the owner was lovely. There when you wanted, but never intrusive. Chilled wine and biscuits waiting for our arrival.

We even got many days of perfect weather.

This is the first review I've ever written - a brilliant property.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, actually the garden is run by the birds and squirrels I just provide the food, the "pecking order" is amazing watching the blackbirds patiently waiting in turn for the birdbath and the squirrels deferring to the woodpecker on the garden roller when it comes to food, seems to keep most visitors enthralled over breakfast in the conservatory. Linda :-)

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed October 14, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We went for our wedding anniversary and was not disappointed ! We loved the hot tub and the surroundings. Linda (the owner) was so welcoming and left us some wine , chocs and milk. There is everything you could need in the cottage. Linda recommended the Italian restaurant which is a couple of minutes walk away - which we loved. Don't miss the local spar supermarket where there is a lovely independent butcher. We made sure we brought some sausages and lamb home with us

Would definitely book again

I booked this cottage for the weekend for my fiancée's birthday and without a doubt, it was the best birthday for both of us! Linda was flexible, lovely and very welcoming. We were left to our own devices and it really felt like a home. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything a chef could need. the hot tub was perfect for anytime of day and Linda went above and beyond with little treats! (Prosecco in the fridge, birthday card, decoration and chocolates on the pillows). The surrounding area of Barmouth was also beautiful cafes, restaurants, pubs, the perfect seaside town. Needless to say, we will be returning very soon for a repeat of the perfect weekend. Thank you Linda!

Whoa three on the trot returning you just made my day, thankfully you had told me it was a special occasion and I could help to try and make the occasion perfect. I have in the past ordered flowers in anticipation of a yes after a proposal (very nerve wracking I have to say but all part of the service) folks just have to let me know if I can help in any way. Glad it was all you had hoped for in this instance, see you soon. Linda :-)

“The perfect, idyllic getaway....a magical place!”

My partner booked Llwyn Ynn Cottage as a romantic birthday surprise, and it was everything we could have wished for and more. The cottage was snug and cosy with everything we needed and more (thank you for the wonderful "welcome pack" Linda!).The conservatory is fantastic, light and airy with a 180 degree view of the beautiful garden with its abundance of flora, fauna and wildlife, including squirrels and woodpeckers. Our dog Issy loved the freedom of the garden and didn't think it could get any better until we took the short walk leading to the river at the back of the property, then she was in absolute heaven, as were we! In three days we managed the up-river walk, the down-river-to-the-beach walk, the stop-at-the-pub-five-minutes-away walk, as well as lots of lazy time curled up in the ever so comfy chairs in the conservatory reading, checking our emails (excellent wifi connection during our stay) or simply gazing out at the garden. We have booked a ten night stay in January because we want to explore a little further afield whilst still enjoying the "feet up and chill" atmosphere of this wonderful little hideaway.

You have hit the nail on the head with the "feet up and chill" and I think that is what has bought you back for two breaks next year, its because you can do as much or as little as you want. I know my cottage grabs people so if they want a full on explore and conquer break or a chill and sleep until noon break its their choice, pub restaurants and river on the doorstep are just very nice to have extras, looking forward to your return in January. Linda :-)

“Relaxing holiday”
Reviewed September 21, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This was our first stay a Llwyn ynn cottage and it won't be our last. Linda our host was very welcoming with a few extra treats. The cottage had everything needed for a relaxing stay wood burning stove, wifi, relaxing armchairs and the hot tub which was a welcome relief after a hard day walking. We recommend the Mawddach trail on bikes and the panorama walk and the torrent walk and the icing on the cake was the Italian restaurant which was a short walk away. The weather was great for our stay as well. Really enjoyed our holiday
