“Perfect haven”
Reviewed November 26, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Hafan is the most wonderful cottage, a real home from home. beautifully decorated to a very high standard, with everything one could possibly want .Great location ,quiet street but moments from all Beaumaris has to offer. Must mention the most comfortable beds, best nights sleep ever ( what make are the mattresses?!). Favourite restaurants are The Pier Cafe, particularly on a sunny day, and Dylan's in Menai Bridge. The owner, Julie, could not have been more helpful and friendly. I was very sad to leave but will hopefully be back one day. Many many thanks.

Thanks so much for your very kind review. It's wonderful to hear that guests have enjoyed the cottage just as much as we do and found it home from home. It's always hard to leave! You're always very welcome to stay again. P.S. Marks and Spencer and Bensons for Beds for the mattresses :-)

Simply perfect. We travel to this part of the country 4 times a year and this is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in around Beaumaris. What makes this cottage so special it's owners attention to detail, furnishings, wonderful features and prime location.

It's not the biggest 3 bed cottage, however we were a party of 4 adults and a 4 year old and there was lots of room. Here are the top features:

My 4 year old' top 5 best bits about the house

1. A brilliant bedroom with a lovely bunk bed which made a great den
2. The huge selection of DVD's for the early evening
3. The chest outside full of nets and buckets
4. The games in the lounge
5. Having breakfast on the stools in the kitchen watching the seagulls through the skylights.

The best bits for adults

1. Extremely comfy beds
2. Super clean home and great bathroom
3. The beautiful features and home furnishings that add the extra touch
4. Well appointed kitchen
5. The Bluetooth sound system for evening music

Location

It's less than a 2 minute walk from castle street, the sea and the pubs....oh and the shops! Probably the UK's best bakers is almost next door, ( who even sell you bread from 0630 in the morning by knocking on the little blue door,) don't consider booking anywhere else. This is a top end, perfectly priced cottage, and what makes it stand out is how well all the guests look after it. It's certainly not your usual cottage.

Thank you for having us!

“Gorgeous place like a home from home.”

We had a lovely weekend staying at Hafan cottage with my young family, very comfortable
with everything you need on site. Julie had left us a bottle of wine and bara brith cake on our arrival. Thanks again and heartily recommend this beautiful cottage for a lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the country with lots to see and do.

“Absolutely lovely!”

Hafan lived up to its reputation. I spent a week there with my extended family and we all loved it. The cottage was spacious, beautifully presented and the courtyard at the back a real bonus. I certainly intend to stay there again when I next visit Beaumaris. Julie was also a delight to deal with.

“Fab cottage in Beaumaris!”
Reviewed September 22, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Hafan Cottage, from first enquiry right through to arrival and departure was so straightforward and organised. It was excellent to have the flexibility to stay Monday to Friday. Julie the owner was so helpful and gave us great ideas on places to eat and visit. The cottage is spotless, stylish yet homely and comfortable with everything you might need and larger than we expected, although only 2 of us it has everything needed to accommodate families. It's in an ideal spot, we were able to park outside each day. Only moments walk to the lovely shops, restaurants, beach and pier of Beaumaris. Mid-September and we were lucky to be blessed with wonderful weather. Lovely walk at Newborough Beach to the lighthouse with stunning views. We visited Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, between Menai and Beaumaris, very nice, but perhaps more of a place for couples like ourselves, not really suitable for children or anyone with mobility issues. Would definitely recommend the bakery round the corner from the cottage, even the sandwiches were great, ideal if you want a very lazily put together picnic! There's a lovely print of Beaumaris in the cottage by Janet Bell, we copied and bought the same one to take home as a reminder of lovely stay at Hafan Cottage. Thank you Julie, we hope to be back soon! Tina & Ray.

The nicest cottage we have rented in the lovely Beaumaris by far. It was just as the photos only better, we expected it to be smaller but were pleasantly surprised. It was well stocked with all we needed and the beds and sofas were really comfortable, just what you need after a day exploring Anglesea. Beaumaris is a beautiful town, with all that you need and a spar shop within walking distance for convenience.

“Beautiful cottage in Beautiful Beaumaris”

Myself, my husband and our four boys spent a lovely week staying at Hafan. There was so much to do in Beaumaris and further afield in Anglesey. We enjoyed the beaches at Newborough and Rosneigr, and visiting Plas Newydd a nearby National Trust site. The boys loved crabbing off the pier and even had a go at sea fishing - a big hit. We also enjoyed relaxing in the cottage, it feels so homely! The cottage is really well equipped and we found everything we needed. The boys loved the DVD collection and found plenty of toys and games to play with. I wish we were still there now!
