“A beautiful, peaceful, well equipped home”
Reviewed June 2, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We have just returned from our stay at this rental and had a lovely time. We stayed here as two families- 3 adults, 4 children. It was ideal for this size of party with room layouts plenty big enough for us to be flexible. There was ample space to add a blow up bed/travel cot/toddler bed too in any of the 4 bedrooms too if you needed it.

The house is well located- it's a 15 minute drive from the mainland, 15 minutes from lots of the attractions - the Sea Zoo, Foel Farm, Forest, Beaumaris... 25 minutes to Treadurr Bay and Holyhead so very well placed for exploring Anglesey as a whole yet you are nicely tucked away in your own rural bliss- no neighbours nearby to hear your children running round the garden! nobody but the sheep in the adjacent field for company- exactly what I want from my holiday!

The house itself is lovely. It has parking for several cars and there's no steps or anything into the property. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of crockery items and very well stocked pan cupboard- we cooked every evening and never needed anything at all which is a surprise and definitely a first for us- we usually find that when staying in rentals that there is something missing, but not here.

The dining area leading out from the kitchen is stunning, it's a lovely addition with a huge window which shows off the views. The sitting area here is so relaxing but as well as this you also get the cosy sitting room with a log burner too which is nice to retire to in the evening. The log burner was well supplied- plenty of coal, fire lighters and wood. We did have to use it for the first two nights and it was lovely and cosy once we got it going.

Bedroom wise there are three bedrooms upstairs- two doubles and a twin all with plenty of space. One double has an ensuite, another double has a wash basin. The family bathroom is upstairs too. The fourth bedroom is downstairs and has a downstairs toilet next to it so ideal for guests who don't want to be upstairs... this is a twin room and has a lot of floor space, ideal for wheelchairs or those with cots to construct!

There is underfloor heating throughout which makes a huge difference, so lovely to have a warm floor to step out onto.

During our stay here there was a problem with the boiler which we were told about right away and the owner was very kind in doing all she could to amend it whilst we had to wait for the plumber. This didn't affect our stay at all, with the owner dealing with it all discreetly and ensuring we had hot water with the electric shower and providing plenty of kindling for our fire whilst we were without the heating.

We spent a lot of time outside the property as the weather was beautiful. There is a lovely patio area where we were able to make use of the BBQ, it was a real sun trap. The garden isn't enclosed so you do have to be careful with children but at least you know you are down your own little drive so you won't have any passing traffic etc.

I think in order to improve this lovely home it would be useful to have some soaps/ shower gels supplied in the bathrooms. There is a handwash downstairs, having just a few smellies would be beneficial and would add that little extra touch. Towels are not provided except a hand towel in the downstairs toilet and the towels in the kitchen... perhaps having a couple more hand towels for the upstairs bathrooms would also be an improvement. The lack of towels was not a problem at all for us as this house has a washer and a tumble dryer so we were able to wash and dry our own towels when they were sandy from the beach and then needed for showers but the lack of towels is worth noting for some. There is also very little phone reception and no Wifi/Internet signal, again not a problem for us as escapism is key on holiday, but having the option to be able to connect may benefit some.

All in all, our stay here was a lovely one, full of happy moments and a lot of comfort which this home provided for us. We were very happy with it and found it a perfect size for two lively families to stay in for a week without feeling like we were under each other's feet.

We will definitely be recommending this find to our friends and will definitely be returning next time we visit the area again which we are hoping won't be too long. This is a lovely, well equipped house that is perfectly located for exploring Anglesey and providing a perfect, relaxing holiday.

“Spacious , quiet, and well located.”
Reviewed August 30, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

A lovely warm welcome from Heather. We particularly enjoyed evenings around the table in the kitchen diner after busy days on the beach. The house is very well equipped and with plenty of space. The children loved it .

“Extremely comfortable, private and rural accommodation”
Reviewed June 16, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Excellent accommodation for our cycling holiday. Very clean and spacious. Very comfortable beds and under floor heating a bonus. Didn't need to use log fire as we were lucky enough to have warm, dry weather but wood etc. was available. A well stocked kitchen with all the appliances we could possibly need to help when we returned tired from cycling all day.
Exceptionally peaceful in a lovely rural area, very private. Wonderful views from the lounge.
