“Had a lovely stay”
Reviewed 3 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Myself, husband, daughter and her partner and our 13 year old dog stayed from the 22/8-28/8 and enjoyed fabulous walks that are accessible from the doorway - practically! The property was great and very comfortable, quiet and secluded, just what you need for a re-charge of the batteries! Thoroughly recommend you go to The Marram Grass, fabulous food! We all had a lovely break, so 'Thank you'

“Stunning views and within easy reach of miles of forest and beaches”
Reviewed 15 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

A perfect place to simply sit and relax and drink in the fabulous views across the warren and the mountains. The nature reserve is just at the bottom of the lane and provides easy access to the forest and stunning beaches which are almost empty. The kids loved scrambling up the sand dunes. Buzzards flew overhead and bunnies hopped about in the garden. It was idyllic. Large supermarkets are within a 20 min drive and the local store stocks most essentials (a short uphill walk). There is no washing machine so make sure you pack enough clothes (especially if you have messy kids). We will definitely be returning next year.

“Excellent chalet”
Reviewed 9 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Stayed at the caravan last year ,and booked the chalet for 31 July this year . The position of the chalet is great , a 45 min walk to the beach , or a 10 min car ride to newborough beach car park ( £4 ). And sitting on the decking in the evening looking at the distant mountains is great . Two bathrooms are essential . Would highly recommend this chalet to my friends and extended family . And with the wood burning stove ,would make a cosy spring or autumn stay as well . We will go again .

“wonderful weekend”
Reviewed 24 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

A beautiful spot and the cottage couldn't have been better. Very spacious and bright- we were fortunate to have two days of sunshine - it was lovely to open the curtains in the morning to see the lambs in the field and the mountains in the distance.
We were met by Delyth on arrival who was very friendly and showed us around the cottage. Lots to do- plenty of walks and the beach is beautiful and only a short walk away. Would certainly recommend it to friends.

“Close to perfect!”

We stayed at Tyddyn Plwm Isa in for three days at the start of January. The location is excellent, with views across the Strait to Snowdonia - maximised by the large lounge windows (which also lead onto the patio, which we didn't use as it was freezing, but which I can see would be great in warmer conditions). You can walk down to the (excellent) beach in 20-30 minutes.

The place itself is clean, tidy, well-equipped and well-layed out.

The only (minor) things which would have improved our stay (particularly as we were winter visitors) would be:-
1) To have curtains or blinds available in the lounge area - this would help keep more of the warmth in, and feel a little cozier once the sun has gone down (and especially whilst the weather is not-so-good).
2) It would be helpful to have a nice lamp or two in the lounge area for reading etc when the outside light has gone (4.30pm at this time of year!) - the main lights are bit harsh. We brought the lamp from the second bedroom through, which made all the difference to the feel of the place at night time.
3) At this time of year, the heating/hot water was only just adequate (I guess as there was very little solar help). We had the wood burner going full tilt from about 4 o'clock to about 11, which kept the place warm enough, but in the morning the hot water remaining for showers was only just enough, starting to cool by the end of the second person's reasonably short shower (fine for the two of us, but if four people are staying in the middle of winter, you might need to consider getting the fire going earlier!)

There's a lot of text above about the negative aspects, but don't take them out of proportion - it's 99% great - the comments above are there to help make it 100%

Would we recommend this place to others - yes!
Would we consider returning - yes!
