“Fabulous dog friendly gem”
Reviewed September 20, 2020 for a stay in September 2020

My wife two dogs and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend staying in Jemima the vintage caravan.

Mandy is an epic host, she’s super friendly and really kind. You can tell that she has thought about all of the little details that make your and your dogs stay extra special!

Jemima is the cutest caravan that has been finished with a lot of love. There is a comfortable double bed with what feels like an endless supply of cushions and blankets, a nice seat that looks out the door with a view of the valley. There is a small fridge, mini hob with oven/grill and enough utensils to make a basic hot meal. For those that want a bit more space to cook and eat there is access to a shared kitchen/dining room in the main house (the other guests have their own kitchens in their apartments so you get it to yourself). In the same area in the house, Jemima’s guest have their own private bathroom with shower.

Now for the really cool bit! Jemima’s guests have sole access to the spacious basement bar and movie room! A brilliant space to relax of an evening. The movie room has a cosy sofa, and a tv with DVD player, Mandy has a supply of good films to keep you entertained. The bar is run as an honesty bar, it’s well stocked with beer, wine, spirits, mixers and snacks, it’s a really cool space to enjoy a drink in at the end of a day exploring!

Another cheeky bonus is the secret garden, tucked away and up a couple of steps from Jemima is a fairy lit hide out surrounded by trees, another cute area to enjoy a glass of wine!

Gardens! There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the fabulous views of the valley and the Alpacas! We can recommend booking onto the experience, they’re gorgeous animals! Up top on the gravel, there is a picnic bench, chairs with a coffee table and reclining chairs. Down behind the house there is a completely secure garden set of humans and pups alike, with the same selection of seating options as up top, plus a paddling pool for the dogs and a shaded dog bed so your pooch can relax as much as you.

Mandy has made this place super dog friendly, dogs are allowed everywhere but the beds. It’s amazing to go somewhere that is actually dog friendly not just dog tolerant. There are loads of walks around, and the beaches are something else!

It’s a fantastic place to stay, we will definitely be back, there is still so much more of this beautiful area that we wish to explore!

“What a little gem of a place!!!”
Reviewed August 22, 2019 for a stay in August 2019

We stayed at Jemima for a couple of nights in August and we had the best time ever. We were greeted and shown around by the owner Mandy (absolutely lovely lady) and the location is simply stunning.
There was some gorgeous welcome goodies.... fresh homemade bread, eggs from the resident chickens and ducks, milk, OJ and even a cream tea (yum yum). Our pooch also had her own welcome pack with treats, food and toys - she loved them but not as much as she loved Mandy (talk about obsessed!) :)
We were lucky enough to be the only guests on site so had the whole place to ourselves, the amenities are fab - Mandy has thought of everything. We didn't really use the movie room as we loved being in Jemima so much - its so cosy and comfy. The bar is amazing - supermarket prices for booze and snacks. We had some torrential rain overnight and the sound of raindrops on the caravan roof reminded me of caravan breaks with my grandparents as a child - so lovely. Thanks for a lovely time Mandy (and Jemima)... we will definitely be back again.

“Cutest Caravan Ever!”
Reviewed November 26, 2018 for a stay in November 2018

Oh my goodness, Jemima is just the cutest caravan and her secret garden is wonderful. Beautifully decorated, fully equipped and warm and cosy.

We arrived to a welcome hamper with homemade bread, jam and chutney as well as freshly laid eggs. Tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, cereals also provided. And not only that, but our dog had her own welcome hamper with treats, a toy and waste bags. Amazing.

The location is stunning, with the most incredible views. We opened the curtains every morning and laid in bed with a cup of tea, watching the Red Kites circling in the valley. Heaven!

Our dog loved 'Pooch Corner' and snuggled down as soon as we arrived, making herself right at home.

The caravan has absolutely everything needed, but there is also a very large laundry room right opposite in the main house with excellent facilities. Although staying in November, we were so warm and cosy in Jemima as everything has been thought of to make sure guests are comfortable and warm. Electric blanket on the bed, radiator, hot water bottles (we didn't need them) and throws.

We can't recommend this little gem highly enough - best place we've ever stayed - you won't be disappointed.

Thank you Jemima, we'll see you again in May!
