“Lovely weekend retreat!”
Reviewed April 24, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Although a little more rural than expected me and my boyfriend had a lovely stay in this old coach house! The owners were lovely and extremely helpful Over all the weekend was a welcomed escape from the daily routine of everyday life and we would definitely go back again!

Liked best: The location and style of the property as well as the surprise hamper left by the owners.
Liked least: The wifi was a little slow, which didn't bother me but did affect my boyfriend at times.

“Wonderful stay!!”
Reviewed March 19, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Very comfortable home. Fires were going for us when we arrived, and a special surprise food basket made our day after a long drive. Close to St Davids Cathedral and Pembroke Castle. Would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting a pleasant stay.

“Idyllic, cosy and romantic”
Reviewed February 15, 2015 for a stay in October 2014

My husband and I have enjoyed staying in The Old Coach House twice; once for our 3 day mini moon and again for a week on our first wedding anniversary. This barn is a wonderfully well kept secret in the heart of beautiful countryside. Located in a small remote village we found the Old Coach House to be a perfect getaway for winding down.

This tastefully decorated barn provides everything you need for a cosy stay - bed linen, towels, maps and guides for local amenities, a few essentials in the fridge to start your stay and a well stocked wood store. There's very little you need to bring other than yourselves and a good book. Blissfully there is no television and extremely little to do in the village itself; we both thoroughly enjoyed cooking a meal, lighting up the wood burning stove, and relaxing with music and a glass of wine. It is easy to close the door and switch off completely from the outside world but just as easy to log back on again with the wifi access provided in the barn.

The owner, Mary, made us feel extremely at home and ensured that our stay was completely uninterrupted but was really easy to contact if we had any questions or concerns. Mary was extremely thoughtful and went to great lengths to make us feel welcome from the moment we placed our booking.

Having a car is a must. Parking is easy next to the barn although getting there will take you down some remote and winding country lanes – the sat nav did a great job but we would still recommend arriving in the daylight for your first visit! There is no local shop but Haverfordwest is approximately 20mins drive away for food shopping and whilst we didn’t check out any of the local pubs for food however there is a helpful list left by the owner in case you choose to eat out during your stay.

There are some beautiful places to check out nearby - head to Barafundle Bay for a breath-taking National Trust walk, Skoma for seals and other wildlife, Newgale Beach for a walk and a toastie in Sands Cafe and for the best selection of vintage clothes shops head to Narberth.

We cannot recommend this gorgeous barn enough and we will definitely be heading back to enjoy its tranquility and cosy atmosphere for many more wedding anniversaries to come.

Liked best: The under floor heating in the kitchen!
Liked least: No conventional heating so come prepared to keep the woodburner lit or your thermals on!

“Another amazing stay at the beautiful old coach house”
Reviewed January 28, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Another wonderful stay in Pembrokeshire! After a lovely stay in Sept 2014 we decided to stay again in Jan for my 25th birthday. We had another wonderful weekend, loved just relaxing each evening infront of the log burners - the sun even shined for us the whole weekend. Would highly recommend this coach house to everyone - a truly beautiful place to stay! We found a fantastic restaurant called the Peppercorn Restaurant and Grill in Narbeth, a must visit if you are staying in Pembrokeshire. Many Thanks Mary for another lovely stay and making me feel so welcome on my birthday!

“Perfect getaway”

The moment we entered the old coach house we had a good feeling for the rest of the weekend...

Located in a small settlement in the Pembrokeshire coast area, the coach house gave us everything we wanted. Space, fire, tranquillity... Mary – the owner, had taken the time to provide an environment to enjoy and escape the hustle of urban living, with small add-on’s such as butter, milk, bread and eggs to get us started. (Even some extras like dark chocolate and jam!) She’d also left us easy to use directions for the Wi-Fi and underfloor heating. (Oh yes!) Also plenty of firewood for building fires which we thoroughly exploited and enjoyed.
We were there to do a coastal run race and the coach house provided us with everything we needed to cook and prepare our meals and wash equipment afterwards. The space is supplied with everything you would need to stay for a whole week or more, and little touches like plenty of clean towels, candles and soap and shampoo in the bathroom make the space more similar to a hotel than the more common self-catering spaces.

Thanks to Mary we had a great clean and spacious home to use as a base to explore the surrounding area and the foundations for a fantastic weekend, which we knew from the start!

We would gladly spend more weekends at the coach house and have recommended it to friends.
