This palace was built for Bishop Henry de Gower in the 12th century. It was interesting and we toured the ruins and enjoyed the descriptions of the rooms. You could still see faces in the stone work, the gargoyles or grotesques of that era. The bishop was quite wealthy and one wonders if his parishioners enjoyed so fine a life. This is right next to St Davids Cathedral so visiting both is easy.
