I was invited to a friend's 'special' birthday afternoon tea and it was simply one of the most delightful experiences I have had. We were shown into a covered courtyard which was set with a table for the 12 of us. The china crockery all matched, the flowers coordinated nicely and were fresh. And the food! Sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, profiterols, meringues, bara brith, scones with home made jam and clotted cream, little bakewell tarts, 3 types of cupcake, coconut and jam cake. Each! One of our party had a gluten free tea and hers looked exactly the same as ours. And the teapot was repeatedly filled. My word what a treat.
As far as the building is concerned that was beautiful too. Immaculately painted and decorated, lots of interesting little things to look at and clean.
The view from the front terrace was eye wateringly beautiful. I simply cannot find fault.

We have just returned from a stay at Glandyfi Castle and have found it to be the most beautiful place. While the outside looks like an old world castle, the interior has all the modern amenities. Maureen, Peter and their daughter Siena made this visit spectacular for us. The rooms are all refurbished, the grounds just beautifully landscaped and the food absolutely delicious. Peter gave us a most interesting history of the castle and the area from the earliest times. Maureen made the evening meal and their daughter Siena assisted. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a truly unique experience!

Myself and my husband got married at Glandyfi castle in June 2017. The castle itself was amazing with great views, excellent rooms and generally an amazing setup! Ourselves and all of our guests were taken aback by the castle and its location and felt sad when it was time to leave!

The castle as our wedding venue made it all the more special and really was the perfect fit! The castle grounds allowed for perfect pictures and inside the castle provided somewhere to not only eat but be amazed by all its beauty! Mentioning food, both our wedding breakfast and breakfast the following morning were outstanding! Portion sizes were excellent as well as the quality, taste and presentation of the food which was all served promptly by friendly staff who are more than happy to help!

But besides the castle being incredible there is a lot to say about the owners Maureen and Pete who really do go above and beyond! They both helped us to make our wedding day as beautiful and stress free as possible, and accommodated for everything we asked for! They made ourselves and all of our guests feel more than welcome and like nothing was to much trouble!

And on top of the amazing castle, location and hosts the price was more than reasonable and extremely worth what we got in return! And talking off returns we will definitely be returning in the future to stay at the castle again!

One word: fantastic. Maureen and Peter are wonderfull hosts that make you feel right at home. In a castle, that is! Glandyfi would be a reason to come back to Wales all in itself. And the food...mmmm, the food.

Thank you very much and we hope we will be visiting again.

We stayed only 2 nights in the Osprey room at Glandyfi Castle, but the stay will never be forgotten. We would like to thank Peter and Maureen for allowing us to stay in their wonderful home and share with us the history and flavor of the castle. Wonderful meals, terrific hospitality, beautiful rooms, and peaceful garden areas to walk and be enchanted.

Room Tip: the Osprey room was terrific to include the 2 person jet tub (and separate shower) in the attached bathroom.
