The hotel is a 15 minute walk north of ‘town’ just 2 short blocks from the beach (essentially just behind the beach club). We used the beach route rather than the street to get back and forth and had no issues even after dark. The hotel is fabulous….contemporary, sophisticated, quiet, and laid back. Rooms are immaculate and equipped with a beach blanket, towels, and umbrella if you choose to venture beyond the pool. Their attached restaurant (Mutua) is now open and is fantastic (see separate review). The hotel provides a 190 peso (per person) credit for breakfast each morning. We stayed in a ‘palapa’ room on the top floor. Views were lovely but be advised that you literally hear everything from the rooms on either side thru the palapa roof. Choose a room on the second floor or one of the 2 ocean view rooms if this is a concern.
