During this stay, I had to reserve two rooms since our 18-year-old son came along and the occupancy rules are challenging. It is important to note all rooms have a sofa sleeper
I recently had a very disappointing experience at Pal.Mar. Unfortunately, I had to leave abruptly due to a medical emergency, which was entirely out of my control. I informed the hotel staff immediately, hoping they would understand the situation and offer a refund for the unused portion of my stay.
To my dismay, the hotel refused to refund any of the amount paid, despite the extenuating circumstances. While I understand policies are in place for a reason, a bit of compassion and understanding during a medical crisis would have gone a long way.
The facilities were adequate, and the staff was generally polite, but this lack of flexibility and empathy has left a sour taste. I expected more from Pal.Mar, especially during such a stressful time.
I hope the management reconsiders their approach to such situations in the future, as it significantly impacts guests' overall experience and willingness to return.
it is important to note a partial refund was offered for my room if they could fill it. However, they will book my son's room and not refund any portion.
Sadly, I rave about this hotel to my friends and have stayed here several times. The lack of empathy has forced me never to return.
