Costa Azul is a special little all-inclusive resort. Not too many rooms, and the location is ideal. They cater to surfers and the guides will take you by SUV or boat to whichever of the local breaks is on. Chacala was my favorite, a quick and clean left over a coral reef. It's accessible by panga boat, so crowds are not a problem. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The beachfront restaurant offers great food. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Most speak very good english. There is no "city" nearby, so don't expect those type of amenities. San Francisco is a quaint fishing village with friendly locals. This is an "adventure resort", so expect adventure, not city life. I have recommended Costa Azul to friends who have made many return trips. Enjoy!
