“Beautiful, young, energetic hotel!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2012

Stayed here for one night before boarding a cruise to the Bahamas. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the youthful vibe! Everything was clean, organized, and energetic. Our room was on the 15th floor with GORGEOUS views of both the cityscape and the ocean. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel!! The only downside was the $15 resort fee that they charge PER DAY. Maybe its a Miami thing?! Otherwise, this hotel is great. They even offered free drinks when we checked in! And yes, they were delicious!

Dear valued guest,
We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed your stay and chose us to be your first destination before your cruise. We will be sure to share your praise with our team. Regarding the resort fee, this is as you pointed out a standard for beachfront Miami resorts. Our $15 fee includes amenities such as: free Wi-Fi, chairs and umbrella on the beach, water upon arrival, steamroom and sauna, fully equipped gym, Keurig coffee maker with free coffee and tea refills, to mention some. It is our pleasure to welcome you back to our beautiful Sole on the Ocean. Please feel free to visit our website for upcoming specials and packages on future bookings.

We want to thank Jose and friendly amigo, Diego, for our superb and courteous service at the beach, and Sebastian for his help with hotel matters.
We found Jose happy to offer helpful suggestions and willingly take the time to visit, yet he was always bustling about the beach at all times serving and taking orders.
They work long and hard hours from setting up the chairs and waiting on guests to dismantling and sorting it all away. NOT easy to walk in the sand all day.

Room Tip: ocean view, south side, upper floor

Dear valued guest, we are very sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. Our one bedroom suites offer full kitchens, but may vary with seating options, including breakfast bar or dining table. Our in room amenities are geared more toward hotel style amenities such as Keurig coffee maker, rain head shower, luxury linens, in room dining services and laundry and dry cleaning services at an additional charge. As a boutique hotel and in its effort to personalize each guest stay, Sole on the Ocean also offers additional amenities upon request such as pans and pots. In an effort to assist guests with room selection, we have provided detailed descriptions on our website and online booking website of each of our room categories together with pictures and square footages of each room category. Additionally, our reservations agents are always happy to assist.

Went to Miami for a Dolphins game. When we arrived, the front desk double charged our credit card and didn't tell us. When we found out, they offered no solution for us. Got into our room, only one towel for both of us. Had to call to get another one. Doors had dirty grimy fingerprints. No ice machines. Had to go down to the pool bar to get ice. Pool was small and very "backyard-ish". Would never stay there, and would advise against anyone else staying there.
The good thing about this place was the coffee shop across the street.

Dear valued guest, we are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. We do apologize for the billing error and rest assured, your charges were reversed promptly. We have also shared your review with our housekeeping team. Our pool, while not large, is the same size as those of our neighboring hotels. One distinct advantage that our pool offers it is steps from the beach, whereas most other area hotels require an elevator ride (and hence a relocation of all belongings) from pool to beach. While we do not provide ice machines on each floor, ice is available upon request to the guest’s relations desk by dialing “0”. Amenities that we do offer include luxury linens, Keurig coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea refills, pillowtop mattresses, rain head shower, use of gym and spa and free wi-fi. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention

The hotel was gorgeous, very Italian-like and the valet-service along with the service from the people at the front desk was excellent. The workers were very friendly and always happy to help. One of the beach boys, Diego was absolutely caring and so funny and always ready to oblige. I liked that everything was always nice and neat; definitely a great hotel. I would recommend people to come book with Sole.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony definitely worth the view.

This contemporary hotel has offered us an elegant and breath-taking oceanfront suite. The services profided by the personnel at the front desk, the valet service, the beach boys and the maids all had in common a strong desire to please and make our stay exceptional which they aceived extremely successfully.
Although the Spanish language is king in this Latino hotel, English is well spoken. Neverthless, this makes for a different atmosphere for whoever enjoys like us this great culture.
Definately a place to consider when travelling in South Florida.

Room Tip: Oceanfront units are awesome. North side is less windy.

Just got back from a girls weekend at Sole on the Ocean. We had a great time hanging out all day on the Beach. Sebastian, one of the beach crew from Sole, was super helpful throughout our stay. Not only did he explain what a Brazilian Man o' War was, but he got our refrigerator in our room fixed and comped us drinks for our troubles!! Sebastian also gave us good recommendations for dinner in Sunny Isles Beach. We were not too excited about the prospect of traffic down to South Beach so we stayed where we were and walked to dinner each night.
The rooms themselves were fine. Nothing spectacular, but it was comfortable and clean. Our problem was with the fancy refrigerator that kept beeping at us. We called down to the front desk and an engineer came to look at it, but couldn't fix it. Finally, one of my friends just turned it off. The next day, Sebastian called the engineers again for us and somehow it got fixed, stopped beeping at us, and we had cold food again.
The Beach itself was really nice! They have chairs and towels that you can use - although there are all these rules regarding not bringing in your own food, the chairs go back in at 5 pm, but on the whole, it was still a fun weekend.
I would stay here again!

Room Tip: Book early for an oceanview room, esp if you want connecting rooms. We did have a partial ocean vie...
