Great Weekend Escape to a newly discovered Secret Accor Hideaway on the banks of Sydney Harbour. Last weekend my Wife and I stepped back into a part of Sydney History and were pleasantly rewarded. Accommodation in 1840's fully renovated apartment with Harbour Views was excellent. On-site meals both in The View Café & The Boiler House Restaurant could not be faulted.Service very good and 24 hour Shuttle Bus service allowed easy movement around the property. Also private Beach to cool off in Sydney Harbour was very welcomed in this current steamy weather.

This is a historical centre dating back over 100 years and was originally one of the first stops for migrants arriving in Sydney, Australia, The centre has been upgraded to a hotel but keeping the heritage of the centre. Pleasant enough but a little on the plain side as far as decor but has unique views of Sydney's southern head and the suburbs along the foreshore.

It was obviously a bad day to stay. it was 30 something degrees and about 100% humidity! we'd been for a walk and a drive and came to check in. parked the car and took the shuttle bus to our room. My husband doesn;t sleep well so booked a room with a small sitting room. The room was obviously styled for the photos! not bad just very plain. BUT the worst thing was NO AIR CONDITIONING.! I should have checked but in this day and age who doesn't have it especially at this price. also the shower was made for children - had to be a contortionist to wash my hair! It would be a fabulous place to stay spring/autumn. the walking is fabulous and the history is fabulous. great surrounds. if you want t do the ghost tour pre-book before you get there.

Room Tip: Check the website carefully!

Dear Newcastle Kate,

Thank you for your constructive criticism in relation to your stay. All feedback is used as a training tool as we are continually striving to improve the service we provide to all of our guests. Our goal is to put a smile on the faces of our guests every day and it appears that our staff has failed which was disappointing.

We would love to be able to put A/C in our rooms but unfortunately we are restricted by conditions on our lease.

The rich history here whilst operating as a quarantine station for 150 years has been actively promoted to our Hotel guests today - which is something we are very proud of.

Thank you again for your feedback. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Q Station in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Not the obvious place to stay, but we felt adventurous. There are different standards of accommodation here, and if you don't book a room with ensuite shower, you may have to walk to a different building to freshen up. Our room was comfortable, but rather too warm in the evening - it was west-facing and collected the sun's heat during the afternoon. With only a ceiling fan to cool the room, it was close to midnight before we felt comfortable enough to sleep.
Facilities are spread out across a large part of North Head, and since private cars aren't allowed, the shuttle bus is essential if you aren't as mobile as you'd like to be. It appears on demand, usually no more than 10 minutes after you've requested a pick-up.
The food's good, whether you eat in style or adopt a cafe approach.
And what's most noticeable is the silence. Manly's close by, but the bustle of the Corso stops as you enter the hotel precinct, and apart from the sounds of nature, the only noise is the throb of passing ferries.

Room Tip: Buildings P10 - P12 have great views over the harbour.

We took my mother for her birthday for something special on her 92 birthday.
The Web site shows a little different to what we got, burnt quiches and sausage rolls ?
I don't think any of the food was made on premise? After the initial interaction with staff we we're left to help ourselves. A disappointing event and not recommended especially for the price.

Dear Christine P,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at Q Station Manly. I am very sorry for the experience that you encountered during your High Tea.

Needless to say, this is an unacceptable occurrence that we take very seriously and I will most certainly address accordingly.

We have just hired a new Executive Chef who will be changing all our offerings and introducing new menus which will include the High Tea offerings.

Once again, thank you for your honest feedback, and I apologise for the experience that you encountered.

Kind Regards,
