A hidden treasure. What a truly golden asset. Wonderful to see the broad range of facilities from free camping, powered sites, BBQ’s, various school group type accommodation.

A very well done to the local people responsible for the lake and park surrounds

Midweek this grassy lake offers seats, fresh water, shade and a group of friendly birds to share your lunch with. Plenty of camping too. On weekends you can share the lake with boaters, and the silo accommodation is amazing and quite authentic.

With only an hour and 20 minutes to drive from home(Donald) this is a great place to go to, lovely little lake, with swimming, fishing, boating, skiing all within 5 min walk from the Town centre, $20 for a powered site with water, around 20 sites, showers, toilets, camp kitchen, laundry(donation) free camping around half the lake with toilets and showers (donation) , several huts for rent from around $30 per night for 2 people( bring own bedding) function room for hire, boat ramp, floating jetting, well kept lawns all done by volunteers.
Am I impressed by this place, YOU BET I Am. Dogs on leads allowed, maximum 30 night stay, definitely will be going back, Keep up the good work Hopetoun.
