We have eagerly awaited visiting the Hermitage for several months! We were fortunate enough to have a mini guided tour of the old gift shop building with Ashley. The kids were shown over 20 antique pieces from back during the 1800s. They tried to come up with educated guesses of the antiques. Ashley was so informative and interesting! We then made our way to the main home of Andrew Jackson. The characters who took us through the house were extremely knowledgeable and friendly! They described so much that many of us hadn't a clue about before visiting the Hermitage!!! We walked all around the gardens, the Tombs, the slave cabins, the old Jackson log home and so many other buildings! The gift shop was well stocked and we found several items that we were eager to purchase! There is also a small restaurant on grounds for food and beverages! This is an amazing place to visit and learn a great deal about our former President Jackson!!!

Well laid out estate of President (or General as he preferred to be called) Andrew Jackson. Nice size museum with photos, artifacts and informational displays. The grounds were beautiful. The house tour was very interesting. Enjoyed hearing about his wife. Worth the fee.

Wish I had been able to spend more time. I found it very interesting, but had a commitment, so could only spend a few hours there.

This was a really cool stop and the overall set up is really well done. We did the general admission, which was a self guiding tour with an audio tour that you played as you went. Then there’s a guided tour for the actual mansion. The mansion is beautiful and the grounds as well. Great history of our seventh president. It took us between 2-3 hours to tour all of it.
