“Christmas In Pigeon Forge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 December 2011

Stayed at River Stone during Christmas 2011 based on the positive reveiws and photos of the accomodations, it was a great experience and we will definately return to Pigeon Fore and River Stone. Check-in was quick, our room was on the first floor so that was great, and once we walked in to the condo I knew I had made the right decision. The place was great, it was pretty much a nice modern apartment, I can't say anything bad about the place. The kids enjoyed the pool and the game room, and I apreciated the close proximity to the strip without being in the craziness directly on the strip (you are close enough to walk to the strip though). The master bedroom had a very large bathroom with a huge shower and large tub with jets. Both bedrooms and living room had flatsceen tv with cable, the fireplace was nice, and there was a large dining room and dining table. The rooms are really nice, if you want something modern and new look no further.

Room Tip: I have kids and would not have wanted to be on any other floor other than the 1st.

Reasonably quiet and peaceful location... compared with the craziness of the Parkway strip. Good facilities, although the outdoor Lazy River Pool was closed for the season... even though the weather was great. The accomodations were spacious - we had a 3 bedroom condo for 6 of us - 4 adults and 2 kids. But our unit needed quite a bit of work to bring it up to snuff. Especially the furniture. Many items of the wooden furnituire were chipped and scratched. The hide-a-bed couch had a big hole in it - which looked as though it may have been started by a cigarette burn. There was also a large gouge out of the carpet. The price does not include maid service or towel exchange - even though they tag on a sizeable service charge to your bill! Want daily towel exchange? That would have cost us an additional $40.00 per day! Front desk service was spotty - some agents were helpful and friendy; others not so good. Would we stay there again? There's lots of accommodation competition in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area; so I think we'd be shopping around.

Room Tip: 1. Request a room facing the golf course. 2. Ask to see the room first. Take time to inspect it c...

We stayed at RiverStone last year, and the experience was so memorable that I wanted to make sure to give them a good rating. We had a one-bedroom condo, with full-body spray shower, and a view overlooking the creek. The condo was huge, modern, and furnished beautifully and comfortably (fireplace, granite counters, spa-like bathroom, comfortable bed...). Everything was beyond our expectations, and it was conveniently located off the road that leads to Dollywood (yet far enough from the main drag to avoid all the noise).
Also, if you enjoy a service or two at the spa, their onsite spa is NOT to be missed. I had probably the best facial ever there.
Unfortunately, Gatlinburg wasn't our ultimate destination when we passed through a couple weeks ago, so we had to be tighter with our budget for that portion of the trip - but I definitely keep comparing every place I stay to RiverStone and hope to get back very soon!

Room Tip: Check out the spa if budget and time allows!

From the moment you step foot on the grounds, you see & experience nothing but professionalism. From the decor, grounds keepers, front desk, etc - this organization totally puts the traveler at priority. Price seems high when making reservation, but when you see ALL the amenities, condo, floor plan, etc - you are more than WELL pleased. Very peaceful, relaxing place for couples, families, etc. Felt like we were at a World Class resort.

Room Tip: ask for condo with River or Golf Course view

LIving close by, the wife and myself usually avoid Pigeon Forge in season. But to celebrate a recent windfall, we decided to try out Riverstone. Could not have been more pleased with the stay. The condo was beyond expectations. Room was superior to any hotel we have stayed at. Indoor pool was clean and towels available. Gym was well stocked with variety of equipment for a nice overall workout. And after a day of walking around the craft shows, the spa was a true delight.
Hidden gem was the walk along the river that runs in front of the condo. A real pleasure as the sun sets to unwind strolling along watching the ducks carry on beside you.

The multiple head shower was a little tricky to work out, but provided a nice wake up massage each morning. The staff were friendly and I found them helpful about answering questions concerning catching the trolley and finding out of the way places to eat as to avoid the crowds.

One note of caution, if you try to arrive back at the condo from the Dollywood side around 7:00 pm (shortly after dollywood closes I think) expect a long delay. Better going down to the parkway and entering the condo from that route.

Room Tip: If possible get a higher up room for a great view of the Smokies as the sun sets.

This was our 6th stay at RiverStone!! We LOVE it!! We have five children and this place meets/exceeds our needs!! While our condos here have always been immaculate, I have never seen a cleaner condo in my entire life, than the one we had this time. We were in the 3rd building, room 335. AWESOME view of the beautiful golf course!! The beds are TDF!! The most comfy mattresses, EVER!! The kids also enjoyed the whirlpool tub!! We also love the layout of the units here. Very spacious!! No better place to stay in my opinion. The location is AWESOME!!!! Within walking distance to the Old Mill and Dixie Stampede. Very close to everything, yet lots of privacy here. It is a very quiet place!! You will always see people working here to maintain this beautiful property!! And....I almost forgot to mention that they now have wireless internet...YAY!!!!!! We will definitely be coming back for many years to come and highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an awesome place to stay in Pigeon Forge!! You won't be disappointed!!

We stayed at the RiverStone for our annual "girls trip". We had a 3 bedroom condo and the layout was fabulous. We had a perfect little balcony with a view of the golf course and it was a very peaceful view compared to the Parkway out front. The location is very convenient and the entire condo was very attractively furnished and super clean. THere is a full kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals, but there are hundreds of great places to eat very nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the golf course - they have better balconies
