“Great Smokey Retreat”

My wife and I planned this getaway months ago. We loved it. It's well off the beaten path; yet, only minutes from the main drag. The views are fantastic. We spent hours on the deck watching the wildlife, reading, and relaxing. The lodge is very well maintained. The rooms are exceptionally clean. The service and food were very good. Our stay ranks in our top 5 and we plan to return.

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our one year anniversary which happens to coincide around St. Patrick's Day. The price of hotels were up for the holiday and so we decided to look for a quieter get away. Berry Springs was the perfect place! We stayed in the Blackberry Springs Suite which I think is the premier lodging on the grounds. The suite opens into a living room with a kitchenette, the perfect place to relax or read in the privacy of your own space. The bedroom opens to a private back deck that faces away from the main lodge. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub perfect for a long soak and a good book. I think we most enjoyed breakfast each morning in the lodge where Sue's cooking and Patrick's service was a peaceful and delicious start to the day. Afterwards we spent time on the lodge porch overlooking hills reminiscent of Tuscany. The location is tucked away from the traffic of the main roads but within quick access to restaurants and attractions. With a mild winter our March visit provided wonderful weather with a $60 off per night winter discount. They run specials all the time, check the website and upgrade to a suite! We hope to stay here again soon!

This was a trip to check out the area for a possible relocation. The lodge was fabulous and would be perfect for a romantic getaway. It was a little difficult to get to the first time, but with directions given by the owner it was not a real problem. Great views, seclusion and close to area attractions.

My husband and I stayed at Berry Springs Lodge for a quick weekend getaway. We're from the area and our parents still live there so we dropped off the dog and our son and went to the Lodge. As soon as we arrived Patrick made us feel right at home. He showed us around and to our room. We stayed in one of the hot tub rooms with an amazing view! It was such a treat to watch the sun rise between the hills each morning. Sue prepared wonderful breakfasts and desserts and we had a blast hanging around the lodge. We made sure to take advantage of the canoes, mountain bikes, fishing, large porch, bird watching, basketball, horseshoes, ping pong, pool, movies, etc. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back!!

Room Tip: We definitely enjoyed the hot tub room with the amazing view! We believe this room (Holly Springs...

We spent 4 nights with Patrick and Sue while planning to tour Smoky Mountain National Park. We had not expected to find a B&B that we hardly ever had to leave. Besides ample breakfasts and evening desserts we found comfortable beds, beautiful views from the back porch rocking chairs, a huge film library, an exercise room, two fishing ponds, a hiking trail, bikes, outdoor and indoor games, etc. The list could continue because if you desire it, they probably have it there. Patrick is wonderful for directions on the back roads to avoid crowds, and for good local restaurants. The inn is beautifully decorated with many locations to relax alone or meet other guests. Definitely a place we consider returning to when we visit family in the area.

We have stayed at Berry Springs for the past 3 years. This place is great. The rooms are immaculate. The lodge is located within minutes of the main strip of Pigeon Forge/Sevierville but is far enough out to provide a very quiet and relaxed retreat. I woke up early last time we were there, walked out on the deck and listened to a wild turkey right across the valley gobbling as he came down from his roost and 2 hours later stood in the middle of Gatlinburg listening to the spring break shopping crowds. Patrick and Sue are the best hosts. Its the perfect place for whatever you want whether it is sitting quietly reading in the central area or sitting on the decks looking at the unbelievable views or catching very hungry fish in a couple of well-stocked ponds. Breakfast doesnt come any better. The desserts waiting every evening are irresistable. Cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: Every room is great. The hot tub rooms have the best view.

Berry Springs Lodge is in the most beautiful part of the State. You feel like you are in another world - nothing but the most glorious views whereever you look. Nothing was too much trouble for Sue and Patrick. You were just outside Sevierville where there were numerous eateries, shopping etc. if that is what you wanted but for peace and quiet and to get away from it all Berry Springs was certainly the place to go. We will go back without a doubt.

Room Tip: They are all well worth it.
