Karin's Kustard & Hamburgers

This place is what it says, it is a late 50s early 60s type restaurant with excellent sandwiches, shakes, sundies. It reminds me of when I was a teenager and walked most places. If you had a place in your life when you were a teenager stop in and get a great sandwich with fries and your favorite ice cream delite and daydream of days gone by.

If you want a great burger and fries this is place to visit. Staff is friendly and burger cooked to perfection. Grilled hot dogs are great as well.

This is an old school burger joint like you've not enjoyed since the 70's. When you think of a flat burger you think of that thing you find at those Golden Arches of woe. Not this thin burger, this thing drips of the flavors of your youth. After one bite you'll be transported back to your bell bottoms and your Mom's old Chevy. If you order the double cheeseburger you'll never eat another burger without comparing it to a Karen's burger. A comparison that will make any other fall by the wayside. Ice cream any way you want it, amazing shakes and floats. You can hit the drive through window if it's raining or sit at a table beside the old Smyrna railroad after you place your order at a rare walk up window. Put a little something in the tip jar for the gang hard at work making your order more perfect than you could possibly imagine coming from what you will lovingly call YOUR favorite "Burger Joint!"

Had never been so gave it a try. It's kind of fun, you sit outside at picnic tables right off a busy street on one side and a train track on the other. Place your order at the window and they bring it out to you. Typical burgers, fries, shakes, fare. Burgers weren't as tasty as I hoped they would be but were okay for something different.

I picked up a to go order for myself and some colleagues. Everyone agreed that the hot dogs and cheeseburgers just okay. The toppings on the burger were fresh - thick cut onion, tomato, etc. The burger itself was a little thin and dry. The fried mushrooms, on the other hand, were delicious! And the ice-cream was yummy, especially the chocolate. I will definitely go back for the mushrooms and to try some more ice cream, but I'll skip the sandwich.
