We loved staying in the Cedar Knob cabin. It was roomy enough for our 3 kids. Very quiet and secluded but not too far from civilization. The nice big kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils of all kinds. It is a cabin so don't expect luxurious accommodations but it was quite comfortable and way better than camping. The air conditioning was top grade and there is a jacuzzi tub in the first floor bathroom. Also it's in the woods so there will be critters. We had a pretty big moth get in and there was a bat sleeping on the porch. And make sure your trash can is secure as something got into ours when my son didn't put the lid on tight.
The location couldn't be better with short drives to many areas within the Smoky Mountain National Park.
We were looking for something affordable and we definitely found it. Well worth the price and cooking in rather than going to restaurants saved a bundle.
We will go back.

The cabin is an awsome abode with a rustic look and feel. Very well kept inside and outside. There is a medium size screened in porch which overlooks the valley below. With three bedrooms and a sofa that will sleep at least three makes for a cozy family get a way. The folks at the rental office were very nice and cooperative. The cabin is close to Cade's Cove which made a great day trip. Did not see any bears to our much dismay....

Room Tip: Cabins located outside the entrance gates is the best. Visit the rental office and look at each cabin in advance.

While this cabin met our needs, there were some issues. First of all I want to mention that Beth at Bearly Rustic Cabin Rentals went out of her way to answer all my many questions. Thanks Beth!
We found the inside of the cabin to be clean! The kitchen could use some new cookware. If you are counting on using the sleeper sofa downstairs- forget it, its broken! If we had not prepared ahead by bringing an air mattress, we would have been short sleeping space for everyone. The downstairs carpet could use a cleaning but wasn't a deal breaker. The hot tub is in need of repair!! Maintenance called us and came by to inform us of this issue and said parts were ordered but wouldn't be in until days later, hot tub had to be turned on and off at the breaker. We requested the air filters be changed in the cabin and maintenance promptly did so. All the beds were found to be comfortable. The 2 bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels, wash clothes, and tissue paper.
The outside could use a good pressure washing as well as the deck, and outside furniture. The upper deck is swayed somewhat as indicated in another review, would not recommend a large crowd. The lower deck that holds the hot tub and pool table is swayed somewhat as well.
The cabin is in a gated community, and is private. Parking for 3 cars is very tight. The cabin sits very close to the road.( not much traffic)
The gutters and roof are in need of cleaning. With all the trees around,I'm sure this is impossible but there were leaves left from fall/winter that had not been blown off.
All in all a average cabin and like I said, it met our needs as we were out and about alot. If you are looking for luxury....look for another.
We will book with Bearly Rustic again.

My husband, daughter, and myself stayed in Hen House cabin this year. This is the first cabin we stayed at in the Smokeys that had a front and backyard. You won't find many like this. The inside was very homey, beds were comfy, and upstairs bedroom has it's own bathroom. There is also a swing on the front porch where you can watch the horses in the field across the street. Love this place and will be back!❤️
