The setting could not be more beautiful. Lush trees, sweeping lawns, right on a lovely lake. From the pool, we watched fireflies twinkle after dark -- idyllic. The room was clean, and the grounds manicured.
The desk staff was apathetic and unsuited for customer service, unable to multi-task or prioritize. There was little evidence of the Southern hospitality typically enjoyed in Tennessee. Guests had to ask more than once for the scanty breakfast bar to be restocked with milk and coffee.
The park rangers, however, were outstanding with both kids and adults, and the highlight of our visit.
