I travel regularly to different places and this hotel is the best find yet. It is on the national registry of historic places (according to the sign by the front door), yet it doesn't feel old because it has been so well restored. It is like being in a brand new hotel, built 1930's style. They updated the essentials (TVs, coffee pot, ha) but the lobby is a gorgeous old wood clad space, beautifully furnished, balcony over the atrium, grand stairs, really wonderful. I was expecting a smaller room but mine was a very large corner room. Four beautiful windows for a lot of light, great view of my car in the lot (free parking), bathrobes, and the pool (cool fountain pours into the pool). A local business said it was good place to stay, but they understated it...it is a GREAT place to stay.
Staff was helpful, bargain, bargain, bargain pricing, and a few muffins and coffee to start the day.

Room Tip: I didn't ask for a corner space, but it is fantastic. BIG, and has four windows.

This stay was somewhat personal and the Liberty took such wonderful care of us. In heartache of funeral, this place stepped up to make sure we had everything we needed, constantly asked how we were and inquired about our personal situation. The hotel is amazing also. I cannot speak highly enough about this!

I just booked another stay at the Liberty. In the last 3 years we have stayed here multiple times. The property is beautiful. It was renovated, but the turn of the century charm was left in tact. The rooms we’ve stayed in have been beautiful, spacious, and clean for a more than fair price. We come to Cleburne 2-3 times a year for Antique Alley and a Plaza Theater production. The Plaza is in walking distance, and a wonderful find in a small Texas town.

The staff at the Liberty has always been friendly and very helpful. We’ve never used the pool or fitness center. The free breakfast is typical continental fare. No meat, but the waffles are great.

Stayed here in August 2016 thanks to winning a free night on the radio. It was a comfortable stay and the breakfast was your typical waffles and fruit, but good! The hotel has charm and it really kept up well. Wish there were more food options near the hotel but it's Cleburne...

A friend who travels around Texas recommended the Liberty Hotel as the place to stay in Cleburne. I spent two night there this last week and fully agree that it is a special place. Built in the 1920's, the historic hotel was completely restored about 10 years ago. It is like stepping back in time. The hotel is beautifully kept and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Traveling alone, I had a smaller single room with a king bed, dresser w/ flat screen TVv on top, a nice writing desk, and a comfortable reading chair. The bathroom had a shower, separate from the sink area. Very quiet hotel and convenient to downtown shopping and the wonderful new Plaza Theater, where I enjoyed a production of The Music Man. At this time, the restaurant next door has closed, so there is parking near the door, and a large parking lot for the hotel is at the end of the block. Some covered parking is available there. Can't comment on the breakfast, but coffee was always ready between 5:30 and 6 and I saw cereal, pastries, and a waffle maker. Highly recommended for your stay in Cleburne.

Room Tip: The regular king room might be too small for couples. The larger rooms are very nice.
