Very quaint and scenic short distance to Fredericksburg & San Antonio. Nice staff and good food :)
We stayed in the Homestead cottage which can comfortably room 2-6 people. It's filled with antique furniture but also has modern conveniences. The master bathroom has a nice large tub - perfect for a couples retreat.

we spent a Sat. and Sun. night here. Not having stayed at a B&B before i cannot compare it to other B&B's.
we stayed in the Linder room it was HUGE!. the king bed and spa tub were seperated from the front room by the vanity and Sink. the room was clean and all items were in working order.there was a back door thru the bed room that led to a shared patio area where you could enjoy the view of the river in back and the deer traveling at dusk and dawn. The breakfast plentiful and tasty with coffee and juice. We will stay there again.

Tucked away by a lovely creek with onlooking deer, this historical German town has a lovely arrangement with small cottages interwoven among the pecan trees to give any traveler a restful sleep who will then wake up to a very hearty and healthy breakfast.

Room Tip: Drive during the day to see the views and to avoid any wayward deer.

The acomodations face the creek, which is open for nice strolls and have a wonderful view. The B&B is located near the (few) blocks that comprise the town center (not much). The staff is very helpful(we requested gluten free options and they were very solicitous to comply).

The Meyer combines beautiful rooms, a great breakfast (try the bread pudding!), and a gorgeous setting about an hour from San Antonio.
The rooms are sumptuously appointed with great yesteryear decor and surprises like claw foot tubs, in room jacuzzis, lavish beds and comfy furniture.
There's ample breakfast choices and plenty to eat. Breakfast is served in a lovely building that looks out over a good-sized creek and you can watch the tiny deer that gather on the far shore.
The property is spread out and gives a sense of having the place to yourself. A large outdoor pool is quite inviting and the area includes a small fish pond, lovely wisteria draped pergola and inviting bench swings.
There's a large lawn down by the creek with details like a tire swing and benches to rest on while you revel in the peaceful, majestic trees and water. A fenced field usually contains a few longhorns as well.
The buildings are quaint and inviting.
Lots of plants and arches of vines give the feel of English cottages. The property is also dotted with antique machinery with an artistic feel.
