We have lived near the Magnolia since its opening. It is walking distance, so is attractive from that perspective.

I love indie films, and having a cinema walking distance from home is fantastic.

The facility is beginning to show wear (stairs/escalator desperately need cleaning), and what was a memorable bar area seems to be drifting and inconsistent in staffing/service. With a little attention, it can once again be a shining star in West Village, Uptown, Dallas.

You can bring your own vine and glasses and have a romantic movie night. They show great movies and have friendly staff.

Really enjoyed what this Dallas theatre had to offer. One of a kind gem in the heart of Dallas.

Theater in trendy, happening part of town just north of downtown. Lots of shops nearby. Always an interesting array of movies.

Two of the most fun movie theaters in Dallas are the Magnolia and the Angelika. The Magnolia is great because it is in West Village, close to great restaurants. If you are staying downtown, you can also reach it by the McKinney Ave. trolley...but I would take a cab...the trolley is nostalgic, but bumpy, hot, and slow. In addition to many first-run movies, the Magnolia runs many indy fllms that you can't find elsewhere. Fun crowd, too.
