I stayed at this hotel for business and the room was comfortable. It was also great that it was within walking distance to Dealy Plaza.

Room Tip: Get an upper floor, the train station is right across the street and can be noisy.

This Hyatt is nicely located; had a wonderful view of downtown Dallas. The room was very spacious, clean and very comfortable. We slept well on their king size bed with down comforters and pillows. Service staff was accommodating and friendly. Walking distance to DART and close to highway. Wolfgang Puck restaurant Five Sixty is located in this hotel. It is a slow revolving restaurant with a spectacular view of downtown Dallas. The ambiance is contemporary but earthy...worth getting a drink, but can't say the same for dinner.

While our other hotel choices were sold out, I can't say I was disappointed with this hotel choice. The fitness center was particularly nice - great layout, natural lighting, equipment. The hotel room itself was good - large, terrific view, bed and linens were wonderful (towels too!).....all around good experience. The location isn't the best - don't stay if you want to walk around or you want to be close to amenities, etc.

Recent conference visit to hotel with high school students. Great trip and stay thanks to the Hyatt Regency Dallas. Picture 1,900 middle and high school students running through the hotel in an organized chaos. The hotel even accommodated their prices by giving a 15% discount in the restaurants and shops. Wow!! Large rooms, convenient location to action and rail station, nice service and quality staff. Only after thought was the tiny pool area.

The beds and linens are great...slept terrifically! The wake up calls really did happen...the maid service great as was the advice from the concierage. I was there for a HUGE conference and the staff was undaunted by the 1,900 attendees.

The location? Only four blocks for Dealy Plaza, a bit further for most dining. CAUTION: the neighborhood goes from good to sketchy to good to great to sketchy. Take a cab to most places.

Room Tip: The rooms with the best view (the Omni has multicolored lights across the street) also has the most...

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Reunion for 5 nights in March for business. The hotel is large, with various conference facilities, but it is not conveniently located. In case one wants to have a walk after long days and business meetings, there are limited options, and the area is not the best in a walking distance. The room was ok, but on Sunday at the end of the day, after been out of the room for meetings all day I had to call the check in desk to request a much entitled cleaning service, e.g. cleaning, disposing of garbage and towel change. There were also a series of mistakes in terms of erroneous room charges, which bothered me and I had to address them by making several unnecessary trips to the check in desk. The Italian restaurant Parrino's oven is ok, but quite overpriced for the quality of food served. However, the Centennial Cafe and Coffew's post are very convenient and the servers are extremely friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: I attended a convention which took place at this hotel and convention center. I had no choice, I had...

I just finished 2 nights at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas. It is a large, busy conference hotel.

There was a marathon in town the morning I checked in, so the line was huge. I arrived early and decided to see if I could get into a room. I heard one of the staff members say that they had 800 checkouts that morning. I was able to skip the line with platinum Hyatt status, and the folks at the front desk were very efficient and helpful.

The room was a typical conference hotel room. The bed was ok, the sheets were clean. The one major negative for the room was that there was only one outlet accessible in the entire room, and one of the two sockets had a lamp plugged in. The other outlets were apparently behind the bedframe and I could not reach them. Hyatt needs to take a lesson from Marriott or Starwood where they put extra outlets at the desk. I ended up charging my phone using the bathroom outlet, though I always worry about water.

The positives were helpful staff and a very nice fitness center. The fitness center included several treadmills, ellipticals and bikes, and several weight machines plus free weights. The front desk told me the gym gets too crowded at times, and they are planning to expand it, but I did not experience any issues getting a machine.
