Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek

Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 25 April 2012

ago my wife and I splurged and spent a week-end at the Mansion. Over the years, we have returned every few years. Recently I had a chance to stay over-night on business. The level of guest service has never diminished. Staff looks for ways to be helpful. The rooms and public spaces are very comfortable. Even though the market has attracted a number of elite properties since the Mansion opened, it is still the standard.

The hotel is conveniently located, and yet it's peaceful and quiet on the street. Room decor is soothing, light and airy. The staff is very helpful. Poolside is small, but all you need in an inner city hotel. I did not get tothe gym, but it looks like it has all you need. The restaurant was wonderful and the bar area was a really pleasant place to be.

I stayed at The Mansion last weekend and was not impressed with the room decor. It felt like I was in my grandmother's bedroom. The bed was comfortable but the overall room was not what you would expect at a Rosewood hotel. Dinner in the main dining room was mediocre at best and brunch was uninspired. The dining room was recently remodeled but very boring and uncomfortable. I would stay at the Ritz next time I want a fun weekend with friends.

The hotel is a very nice hotel. The rooms was spacious with a very nice bathroom. The shower was amazing! The hotel lacks a bathroom in the lobby... The staff is very friendly.

Stayed 3 nights in a Premier King room and enjoyed all the amenities the hotel offered. Very friendly staff, very good quality fresh breakfast, nice formal dining room plus use of business office.
A car is pretty much a requirement(for areas beyond the 5 km. the hotel limousine covers) - would have liked the choice of self-parking v/s valet service, for constant coming and going; not happy when car delivered covered in bird droppings, however, it was cleaned promptly thereafter.
Overall, a very pleasant stay.

I came to Dallas for a three day business conference. I brought my wife and intended on staying at the Ritz, but no rooms available. My wife suggested staying at the Mansion as she heard it was remodeled/renovated since the last time we stayed there. Anyway, our stay was perfect. We especially liked the outside patio bar!

I stayed with family here over 4th July weekend. I wA working downtown Dallas over holiday while family had the entire hotel and staff to theirselves. Warm cookies and milk were deliverd to my children in bed by staff. On staff repair man helped kids get their pool toys working while I was at work. Great service. Made my dreaded working holiday go very smooth.
