This place is a great garden attraction, but is also much more. It is a learning center and a venue for city events. Really neat place. My kids loved it because of all the variety and space.

What a beautiful venue, entirely free (not including the Japanese gardens which are a paid porting). You can spend as long or as short a time at the gardens. There are trails to walk through the gardens. Bring your camera for some beautiful photos. We went in May and it was a wonderful and romantic time. There were folks of all ages strolling the grounds along with some school groups having outings. It was a purely delightful day!

Just down the street from the Zoo in one direction and the Kimbell Art Museum in the other direction the Botanical Gardens are a must do as are the other two. You can take a nice relaxing stroll and enjoy a wide range of areas and plantings. The rose garden is wonderful when the roses are in full bloom.

Entry is free. You can walk leisurely through the gardens, or exercise freely. We saw joggers and bikers while strolling through. We went in late Nov, so perhaps it wasn’t as colorful as in other times, but we enjoyed just sitting and hearing the squirrels rummaging through the fallen leaves. I gave it four stars only because the lack of bathrooms is an issue.

I always love officiating and coordinating weddings at this unique tropical paradise! At venue prices that couples can afford, the Botanic Gardens offers a natural and beautiful backdrop for lovely wedding photos.
