Do not compare this Garden with Other Gardens in the area. It is one of a kind and has it's own personality that stands alone. It Is very crowd on the weekends with weddings and picture taking so come early in the morning to really enjoy it. As a harpist I have played for weddings in every nook and hollow of the place and each one was beautiful. Very impressed with what Ft. Worth has been able to do with a place that doesn't make money on charging people to enter. The Japanese Gardens are the only place that has a fee to get in. It is very well kept and attractive in every season. So many gardens like Atlanta's is not somewhere to go in the heart of the winter but that is not the case here.

This place is absolutely mesmerizing! From the Mayan Mountain with it's gushing water, to the Quiet Pool with it's palpable tranquility, the Water Garden is not to be missed! One word of caution for parents with children, some surfaces are naturally slippery, so keep a focused eye on your kids.

The Botanical Gardens of Fort Worth is a truly historic part of our wonderful Cultural District. The park was originally founded in 1912, and has since been expanded to about 4 times its original size. It is now undergoing a renovation and future expansion is in the works. The Rose Garden is a treat, as is the Japanese Garden. For a peaceful break, tour the Japanese Garden, and feed the koi in the pond. Occasionally, you'll see a bit of the old Wild Kingdom on display when a pelican plucks a small fish from the pond! The Botanical Garden has great walking paths through the original Rock Springs park that the garden was founded on in 1912. If you find yourself in our great Cultural District, check out this cornerstone and future welcome to the area. The Botanical Garden is free, as is parking, but the Japanese Garden is a fee entry, I think $7/person, but well worth the admission fee if the hungry pelican is around!

This is a beautiful place in the spring when everything is in full bloom. Very peaceful and enjoyable place to just walk around or plan a picnic.

This place is a great garden attraction, but is also much more. It is a learning center and a venue for city events. Really neat place. My kids loved it because of all the variety and space.
