We usually go to The Pass for a high end date night dinner, but we decided to try Oxheart (finally!). The place is relaxed and quite casual - it has a good neighborhood vibe. The food is high end, veggie-centric for the most part, but with light meat options. Our first course was disappointing - an apple 'broth' paired with apple cider. It was all too sweet to start with and definitely too sweet to pair well. There were three courses that we liked - one with fish, one with pork, and one with a Mexican twist. One course was a dinner take on porridge...it was ok. Dessert was also light and not all that flavorful. On the whole, we liked the dishes with meat, but the first course and pairing was not good. It is also very expensive for what it is. I wish I could rate it between "Average" and "Good". We probably won't be back.
